TV star's 'first-time experience' during cancer battle is actually good news

It’s clear to see Teddi Mellencamp has been going through a lot lately. The former RHOBH star is in the midst of a divorce. At the same time, she’s also dealing with ongoing health issues. She was first diagnosed with melanoma two years ago.

Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum Teddi Mellencamp moved into Kyle Richards’ house this year. The Bravo star has been through many ups and downs in recent times. But, this winter she shares an update that sees her shedding “tears of joy” rather than sadness, thankfully.

This December, Teddi takes to Instagram to give people an update on her melanoma battle.

She shares a selfie video from her car and explains how she had just been crying after a health check-up.

Teddi writes in the post’s caption: “Going in for my continual 3-month skin checks is never easy. The anxiety always takes over; the thought of another biopsy, another surgery, another addition to the scar on my back

“And I always end up crying. But today the tears were those of joy. Because for the first time there wasn’t anything abnormal, nothing that needed an extra look. And I am grateful.”

Teddi adds: “I’m grateful for my doctors, nurses, family, friends, and all of you for your continual support. As long as you’re here, I have a reason to keep advocating for myself and for others.”

Teddi urges her fans to get checked out

For the past two years, Teddi has been dealing with melanoma.

She shares the good news that “it’s the first time in over two years” that she’d “gone in for her three-month check and not had to have a biopsy because I have another cancerous spot
”

The Bravo star continues to share how she and her doctor were both in disbelief at the results: “Oh my gosh, such a good feeling.”

Teddi adds how she has to “stay diligent” and will “go back in March” for another check-up.

“This should be a reminder to all of you guys, please, please, book your skin checks, book your mammograms, book your OBYN appointment, book your eye doctor appointments
” she tells her followers.
