Josh’s son Jett, who has been mentioned on 90 Day Fiance, had to have his leg amputated after a car accident. He then had to have seven surgeries before being sent to an inpatient rehab facility.
The 90 Day Fiance star explained that his son’s friend lost his life, while Jett lost his leg. Josh Weinstein said: “My son was in a car accident and was airlifted out. He lost the battle with his right leg.”

Josh’s son Jett was involved in a car accident in February 2024. His friend sadly died, while Jett lost his right leg. He was told the crash was so bad that there was only a 5% chance of survival.
Jaxson Elliott and Jett Weinstein were driving down I-17 south of Cordes Junction when the car they hit a controversial guardrail, before they were both airlifted out of the vehicle with severe injuries.
Jett’s dad, Josh, was on his way home from a snowboarding trip when his son and his 16-year-old friend were involved in the crash. $56 million was later sought from the Arizona Department of Transportation.

He had to have his leg amputated
Jett had to have his leg amputated, as well as seven surgeries. He now claims to be a “half robot” as he wears a prosthetic leg, which was fitted back in May 2024 after he was taught how to walk with it.
Since then, he’s been busy! Jett graduated high school, jetted off to Cancun, Mexico, and Florida, with his girlfriend, who he went to senior prom with, and has been working out in the gym.
Despite the setback, Jett has come back fighting stronger than ever and continues to live life with his new normal. He’s got back in the car seat and now runs his own clothing company, Cre8 Luck.
