Tammy Slaton has qualified for skin removal surgery, and not just hit the 100lb weight loss she needed, but surpassed it. She went from 700lbs, down to just over 400lbs, and then again down to 300lbs.

The 1000-lb Sisters star felt nervous as she weighed in for skin removal surgery. At her last appointment, Tammy Slaton weighed over 400lbs, but her shocking new weight left her doctor in shock.

Tammy Slaton was weighed for skin removal surgery, scaling at just over 300lbs. She was tasked with losing 100lbs to qualify for the procedure, and felt “extremely nervous” about whether she’d achieved it.

Looking back, she said she weighed 725lbs at her “rock bottom” and was weighing at 420lbs at her last appointment. Now at 303lbs, Tammy said, “Damn! That’s five pounds less than what I was at the bypass.”

It is believed Tammy must maintain her goal weight for at least 18 months before skin removal surgery to tackle her “head to toe loose skin”. Sister Amy Slaton wants it too, as she feels like a “deflated balloon”.

She surpasses ‘unbelievable’ goal

Tammy’s doctor, Dr. Proctor, was in shock at her weight loss since her last appointment. He described her dedication as “unbelievable,” telling her, “You look awesome by the way.”

In a confessional, Tammy said, “Dr. Smith’s go, my go, all the go’s. I’m so ready for skin removal!” Her doctor is super proud of her and wrote, “Words can’t describe how proud I am of @queentammy86.”

“Her journey is a true testament to her determination, and she absolutely deserves this,” he added, saying in a video, “Tammy’s journey has not always been easy, it’s not always been linear.”

Tammy posted a TikTok video responding to one follower who wrote in the star’s video comments, “Just a question not trying to be rude, but do you know if your chin flap will go away?”

“You say you’re not trying to be rude but why on earth would you ask this in the first place? My ‘chin flap’ is not a chin flap. It’s literally excess skin and yes, it’ll go away when I get skin removal surgery,” she said.

The five-minute video saw Tammy Slaton tell fans she “doesn’t know” when she’ll get skin removal surgery. Despite this, she said, “Even if I did know, I wouldn’t be able to say as it’s part of the show.”
