MAFS UK stars Caspar Todd and Emma Barnes are teary-eyed during series 9 episode 25. Caspar tells the experts: “We feel sad because we came here for love.” The two leave the experiment after giving their marriage a go. Although Caspar didn’t find love during the show, he says he left with a “best friend.”

Married At First Sight UK proves difficult for many participants in series 9. As strangers meet and marry based on experts matching them, their romances play out on screen. As Caspar exits the show, he tells his fans of his admiration for his pal who “remained calm under pressure.” He says his co-star got a “tough edit” that didn’t show him “as a person.”

Caspar ‘lost three closest friends’

As MAFS UK rounds off its ninth series, more and more couples are throwing in the towel on their marriages. Caspar reflected on his time with Emma and said: “There’s a lot of good things about our relationship.”

But “one comment” proved too much for Caspar. He and Emma left the E4 show in episode 25.

Following Richelle and Orson and Hannah and Stephen’s earlier departure, their co-star, Caspar, delves into what the relationships are really like between the participants in the experiment

“I lost three of my closest friends in the experiment tonight… and I miss them all. They were such great sports, Richelle, Orson, Stephen, and even Hannah at times when she needed someone I was there for her… that was a really hard watch for me,” he tells his Instagram followers.
