Ty Pennington Starts 2025 With Swanky New NYC Condo: See Inside

Three months after listing his New York City condo for $2.65 million, HGTV star Ty Pennington has a new place to call home in the Big Apple.

Pennington has purchased a two-bedroom condo in Tribeca, according to New York Magazine’s Curbed. The trendy neighborhood has some of the most expensive properties in the city, per Off the MRKT, and is home to A-list celebrities including Jay-Z and Beyoncé, Jennifer Lopez, and Robert DeNiro.

Pennington’s former condo has not sold, per Curbed, but is being rented for nearly $12,000 a month. In a September Instagram post, he wrote that he was leaving the property behind after 17 years, but hinted that he wasn’t leaving New York altogether.

“Gonna miss these views but don’t worry New York, I’m not done with you yet,” he wrote.

The “Rock the Block” host purchased his new space for $2.95 million — a slight discount off the $2.99 million asking price, Curbed reported. The listing was managed by Douglas Elliman realtor Kristen Jordan, who Bravo fans may recognize from “Million Dollar Listing New York.”

Pennington’s 1,497-square-foot, luxury loft with 12-foot ceilings has two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a nearly 500-square-foot terrace for outdoor entertaining, according to the listing. There’s also a renovated chef’s kitchen with “top-of-the-line Miele appliances, a vented oven, and sleek Arabescato Corchia honed countertops and backsplash.”

The condo sold on December 4, according to Zillow, and the building includes a 24-hour doorman, oversized storage spaces in the basement, a fully equipped gym, a bike room and a “rooftop terrace with panoramic views of downtown Manhattan.”

Pennington’s new place is also dog-friendly, which is good news for Dory and Phoebe — the pups he shares with his wife of three years, Kellee Merrell.

Ty Pennington Also Has Homes in Florida & Georgia

Pennington’s New York condo will be one of multiple homes the “Battle on the Beach” star owns with Merrell. The couple has been restoring and renovating an 1853 home in Savannah, Georgia, since they purchased it in September 2020.

He shared views inside of it on Instagram in January 2022, noting that they’d been busy renovating for more than a year, but still had lots to do.

Pennington also has a property on Florida’s Palm Coast, located on the northeast side of the state along the coastline. He told Flamingo that he fell in love with an old, brick fishing cabin that he thinks of as an “incredible Mayan ruin.”

Flamingo said Pennington shares the 5,000-square-foot, six-bedroom home with his mom, who lives there year-round. Pennington said he gets there every chance he can to see her and surf.
