Tyler, the Creator Thanks 'Chromakopia' Listeners: 'I'm at a Different Point in My Life'

Tyler, the Creator says the response he’s been getting to his remarkable, brilliant new album is unlike anything he’s ever experienced.

In an Instagram Stories update, Tyler, whose Chromakopia shrewdly arrived on a Monday in October and is easily one of the best albums of 2024, thanked everyone who listened, even those who “hated” what he’s offering this time around.

“Thank you to everyone who has listened, skimmed through, put it on repeat, turned off, loved it, hated it, grew on, grown off, related to, was foreign to, anything,” Tyler note. “I really appreciate any ears.”

Continuing, Tyler pointed out that he’s now “at a different point” in his life when compared with the Tyler of yesteryear, despite some fans’ permanent connection to that iteration of his artistry.

“I’m at a different point in my life than I was when most of you met me,” he explained. “So to share these thoughts or feelings that I may/may not have lightly touched on before felt like such a release, and to see so many of you resonate with it is such a great feeling I’ve never experienced. Thank you.”

Leading into the gratitude-focused reflection, Tyler also highlighted a pair of interpretations focused on the Chromakopia track “Judge Judy.”

If you’ve somehow not taken the full Chromakopia dive by now, let it be known that you’re denying yourself one of 2024’s purest pleasures. The album is a triumph in every sense of the word, adding to Tyler’s long list of such feats across his career. In support of the album, a tour featuring special guests Lil Yachty and Paris Texas is slated to kick off next February.
