Musician and U2 star Adam Clayton dropped by Eurovision legend Linda Martin's dog shelter, and unexpectedly walked away with three new family members.
The Dublin Dog Hub, an animal shelter founded by Linda, opened it's doors in Finglas to animals in need in 2023, and has been providing kennels, a veterinary area and facilities for dogs who need to be rehomed.
Three little hedgehogs had been dropped off to Linda that day, and with one of Adam's children being a big fan of the creatures.

Linda said: "A few weeks ago we had the absolute privilege of welcoming good friend Adam Clayton to the Hub for an afternoon of tea, chats and fun with all of our gorgeous dogs."
“From the moment Adam arrived it was pure joy - with a beaming smile, he conversed so intently with all of the staff at the Hub."
“He was so inquisitive about our work, how the dogs come into our care and he specifically asked about each dog as he passed by their kennel.
“Adam was full of praise for our staff and all the work we do to help the wonderful dogs and as a big animal man. He was truly heartbroken listening to some of the sad cases that we have had in our care recently.
“He wanted to take all of the dogs home and even took a special liking to little Cookie," she wrote on social media.
She said that as they wrapped up their day, the rocker noticed that three little hedgehogs had been dropped to the sanctuary.
“As we finished up our afternoon, Adam noticed a pet caddy and inquired what was inside - three little hedgehogs dropped into us by Hedgehog Rescue Dublin."
“Turned out, one of his children is a mega hedgehog fan. So as we said our goodbyes, we packed the three little guys into his car to take home for release - what lucky little hogs they were."
“It was a truly magical afternoon at the Hub, spent with one of the Irish greats and a day we will not forget in a hurry."
“Please come back soon Adam, as it was an absolute pleasure and the dogs loved you.”
According to WebMD, hedgehogs can be a fun and low-maintenance pet for your household.
However, they do need some special care due to their sharp quills that can make handling difficult.
They are nocturnal and active, so they need a large enclosure for digging and running, most of which will be done while the pet owner is sleeping.
The visit was part of filming for his new RTE show Ballroom Blitz.
