Fans of The Real Housewives of New York City have had much to say about the new version of the show. Sadly, many of the comments haven’t been kind. Things took a turn when Bethenny Frankel shared some of the criticism she heard, watched one episode, and then doubled down on the negativity. Now, Ubah Hassan has issued a response. Plus, Bethenny made a not-so-shocking revelation about the OG cast.
While this season of RHONY hasn’t been what most fans wanted, Bravo is probably happy as the show reached a high last week in live viewership. Of course, this was thanks to the RHOBH premiere on the same night.
As Bravo fans know, Bravo Fan Fest in Miami recently happened. While on a panel at the convention, Ubah was asked what she thought of Bethenny’s criticism of the show. Luckily, the Access Hollywood TikTok account has the clip.
The RHONY star began, “I mean, anyone who says that they haven’t seen something but I think it’s trash, I don’t care what your opinion is. Sit down, eat your chicken sandwich and whatever you’re fu***** eating, and watch the show, and then tell us you don’t like it.”
She continued, “It’s like someone going to watch a movie for 10 minutes, and they walk away and say it was s***, no, why don’t you give the time and say they wasted two hours of my life.”
Ubah then said, “She’s loud noise.”

In other Bethenny news, she also took to TikTok to share that the OG cast members weren’t friends before filming the show.
She said, “Sorry to burst your bubble, but the original cast of the Real Housewives of New York, we were not friends.”

She went on, “I didn’t know Luann, I didn’t even know what a Countess was. Jill was so excited there was a Countess coming in. She didn’t really know her and I didn’t even know what the term meant. I didn’t know Ramona; no one knew Alex and Simon. People knew of other people in New York, but that’s really it. We were not friends at all. That is fake news. It was just the alchemy of the group.”
Of course, this is only Bethenny’s side of the story, and it has been a long-held fact that production often builds these shows around one or two cast members.
Fans can watch Ubah on RHONY on Tuesday nights.
