Now, White is expanding his business expertise, as he has officially joined the board of directors for Meta. White took to social media to announce the new partnership.

According to the official release:

"I've never been interested in joining a board of directors until I got the offer to join Meta's board. I am a huge believer that social media and AI are the future," said Dana White, President and CEO of UFC®. "I am very excited to join this incredible team and to learn more about this business from the inside. There is nothing I love more than building brands, and I look forward to helping take Meta to the next level."

Meta co-founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg also commented on White joining the board, stating:

"I'm excited to kick off the new year with some news we've been working on for a while: Dana White, John Elkann, and Charlie Songhurst are joining Meta's board of directors. We have massive opportunities ahead in AI, wearables, and the future of social media and our board will help us achieve our vision.

Dana White is the President and CEO of UFC, and he has built it into one of the most valuable, fastest-growing, and most popular sports enterprises in the world. I've admired him as an entrepreneur and his ability to build such a beloved brand."

It is no surprise that Zuckerberg has befriended White and has now added him to Meta's board of directors, as the innovator is a known jiujitsu practitioner. Zuckerberg has been spotted front row at many UFC fights.

Joining White are John Elkann, who is "CEO of Exor, one of the largest European investment companies, controlled by the Agnelli family. He is also Executive Chair of Ferrari and Stellantis," and Charlie Songhurst who "is a technology investor who currently invests in more than 500 startups globally. He has extensive experience across enterprise SaaS, AI and deep tech."

White and Zuckerberg forming a partnership makes sense considering both are at the forefront of their respective companies, which are both considered to be the gold standard in terms of MMA and social media.
