Chandler showcased his recovery on his Instagram page, including a video that showcases the fighter sticking his fingers into his leg, which leaves an imprint.
Chandler says, "Look at that," which showcases his two fingers leaving an imprint on his leg due to massive swelling. The lightweight also shows a close-up of his knee, which is also puffy and swollen.
The swelling on his leg is known as pitting edema swelling, and according to Osmosis.com, pitting edema swelling "occurs when excess fluid builds up in the body, causing swelling."
Chandler added a simple caption to the video that states, "So you wanna be an ultimate fighter?"
Chandler also updated fans on his recovery via a post on his Instagram page.
The post shows Chandler at a medical facility, where he reveals he is awaiting MRIs on his injuries. He also reveals he is set to use a hyperbaric chamber, a red light bed, and cold plunges to help speed up his recovery.
Chandler returned to action at UFC 309 after a two-year layoff, when he lost to Dustin Poirier at UFC 281 on Nov. 22, 2022.
Chandler was tapped by the UFC to host the ever-popular "The Ultimate Fighter" series in 2021, along with Conor McGregor. The season wrapped in Aug. 2023 and the pair were set to face off against one another.
The Chandler vs. McGregor did not come to fruition, and finally, the UFC planned for them to fight earlier this year. However, McGregor suffered a toe injury that kept him out of action.
After patiently waiting, Chandler accepted a rematch offer with Oliveira instead of waiting for McGregor.
Despite the excitement and hope that Chandler would rebound with a win, Oliveira was too much for him and won by unanimous decision. Chandler is now 1-4 in his last fights in the UFC.

Though Chandler has four losses on his record dating back to 2021, he remains one of the most exciting fighters on the UFC roster. He is also the No. 7 ranked lightweight in the organization.
Considering the massive swelling and MRIs that Chandler is set to receive, he might also be headed for a lengthy rest. Either way, Chandler also revealed he plans to get ready to potentially fight again in 2025.
