Rap music and streetwear have gone hand in hand since the early ‘90s, a combination that has inspired some of the biggest high-end fashion houses and most revered creative minds.
From Karl Kani and FUBU to UK-born brands like Benjart and Trapstar, Black-owned streetwear brands have managed to dominate this market over the years (as they should), and looking to join them is Money London, the new apparel brand from North London rap vet G Money.
Known for road rap gems like “Youngers To Olders” and “My Life”, the Wood Green native is revered for keeping it all the way real on wax, and he’s aiming to do the same with his new line.
“I’ve always had an eye for good fashion, so it felt natural to create something of my own,” G Money tells Complex. “I love to dress well and I’ve always had a thing for matching sets, so now that I’ve officially entered the fashion industry, I can start creating my own. Money London Clothing promises a unique blend of versatility, offering collections that range from sophisticated drops to comfortable tracksuits and everyday wear. I envision the brand reaching the top, with each release reflecting a refined sense of style and quality. The official website will launch in December, just in time for Christmas.”
