UnitedHealthcare CEO Murder: Read Telling Lines From Suspect Luigi Mangione's Manifesto!

UnitedHealthcare CEO Shooter Suspect Luigi Mangione Manifesto

Well, there is a suspect in what may go down as the most controversial murder of the century.

On Monday morning police in Altoona, Pennsylvania, arrested a young man named Luigi Mangione after he was reportedly recognized eating at McDonald’s. He had a backpack on him with a gun and silencer like the one used to kill UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson, a fake ID used at the NYC hostel, and… a manifesto.

Yes, law enforcement sources said the 26-year-old had a manifesto on him. New York Police Commissioner Jessica Tisch called it “a hand-written document that speaks to both his motivation and mindset.” Presumably in case he was killed in the act? So the public would have a deeper understanding of why he did what he did?

The manifesto was said to decry the US healthcare system, with its insurance companies that put profits over patients. That part, at least, is not controversial — and explains why many have even cheered on his actions. But what else does it say in this thing? Well, we have a couple quotes so far. Per CNN, Luigi wrote:

“I do apologize for any strife and trauma, but it had to be done”

…and the more aggressive line:

“These parasites had it coming.”

Wow.

What do YOU think of what the shooter was trying to say?
