Here are the top 6 upcoming smartphones that will be launched in the first quarter of 2025.

OnePlus 13 Series
OnePlus unveiled its new flagship smartphone globally last night. The OnePlus 13 is available in 3 RAM and storage variants, with the base variant (12GB + 256GB) priced at Rs 69,999. The 24GB + 1TB variant fetches Rs 89,999. OnePlus’ flagship smartphone is powered by the newest Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. Its 6.82-inch LTPO AMOLED display has a peak brightness of 4,500 nits. The rear camera panel houses 3 50MP sensors for the primary shooter, 3x telephoto, and ultrawide lenses. The 6,000mAh Si/C battery pack supports 100W charging.
The second smartphone in the series is the flagship alternative OnePlus 13R. Priced at Rs 42,999, the OnePlus 13R flaunts a 6.78-inch LTPO AMOLED and last year’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. It follows the design language of the flagship OnePlus 13. The smartphone’s rear camera is composed of a 50MP primary shooter, an 8MP ultrawide lens, and a 50MP telephoto lens. It packs a 6,000 Si/C battery and supports 80W charging.
Samsung Galaxy S25 Series
Samsung will launch its flagship Galaxy S25 Series at its Unpacked event on January 22, 2025. Apart from the 3 expected models in the series – Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, and Galaxy S25 Ultra, Samsung is rumoured to launch a new 4th variant called Galaxy S25 Slim. In India, the base model will likely stick with Samsung’s in-house Exynos processor. Meanwhile, the top-spec Ultra variant will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor.
The Ultra variant will also undergo some design changes. The smartphone will have a slimmer profile. Its 8.4mm thickness will make it the slimmest Ultra model yet. On top of that, the smartphone’s frame will have rounded corners as opposed to the sharp ones on the S24 Ultra. The Galaxy S25 Ultra’s rear camera array will comprise a 200MP primary shooter, a 50MP telephoto lens, a 50MP telephoto lens with 5x optical zoom, and another 10MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom.
Poco X7 Series
The upcoming midrange X7 smartphones from Poco will launch in India on January 9, 2025. The two models will likely share the same display. They are expected to get a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with 3,000 nits of peak brightness. The two models will be rated IP69 for dust and water resistance. Poco X7 will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Ultra chipset while the Pro model will pack the MediaTek Dimensity 8400 Ultra SoC under its hood.
The Pro model in the Poco X7 series will feature a 50MP Sony IMX882 sensor for the primary shooter and an 8MP ultrawide lens. The 20MP front-facing camera will be housed inside a punch-hole cutout. The base variant will likely share the primary shooter with the Pro model. Poco X7 will be priced under Rs 20,000 while the X7 Pro is expected to fetch between Rs 25,000 – Rs 30,000.
Oppo Reno13 Series
After launching its flagship smartphone at the tail end of 2024, Oppo will turn its attention to its midrange offerings this month. The Oppo Reno13 Series will launch globally on January 9, 2025. It will comprise a base variant and a Pro model. The base variant will be available in 4 RAM (LPDDR5X) + Storage (UFS 3.1) options – 8GB + 128GB, 8GB + 256GB, 12GB + 256GB, 12GB + 512GB. There will be 2 colour options on offer – Ivory White and Luminous Blue. The smartphone will flaunt a 6.59-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The rear camera module of the Reno13 will comprise a 50MP primary shooter, an 8MP ultrawide lens, and a 2MP depth sensor.
Meanwhile, the Oppo Reno13 Pro will be available in 2 RAM + Storage configurations – 12GB + 256GB and 12GB + 512GB. Its 6.83-inch AMOLED display has a 120Hz refresh rate and can hit 1,200 nits in High Brightness Mode. The smartphone will feature a 50MP primary shooter, a 50MP telephoto lens, and an 8MP ultrawide lens. Both models will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8350 SoC and will come with IP69 protection.
Realme 14 Pro Series
The Realme 14 Pro Series is set to go on sale on January 16, 2025. The midrange series will comprise 2 smartphones – Realme 14 Pro and Realme 14 Pro+. Both smartphones will feature colour-changing back panels. There will also be a Suede Gray vegan leather back option on offer. The company will also launch 2 India-exclusive colour options – Jaipur Pink and Bikaner Purple. The smartphone will be powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chipsets.
The Pro+ variant will flaunt a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Its rear camera array will feature a 50MP primary shooter, a 50MP periscope telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom, and an 8MP ultrawide lens. This camera module will be further enhanced by Realme’s MagicGlow Triple Flash system.
iQOO Neo10 Pro
iQOO Neo10 Pro is one of the most anticipated gaming smartphones of 2025. Its predecessor, iQOO Neo9 Pro, was one of our favourite gaming devices of 2024. While iQOO has not revealed the launch date for its upcoming gaming midranger, the smartphone is expected to launch in February or March 2025. It will flaunt a 6.78-inch LTPO AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate and 4,500 nits of peak brightness. Under the hood, the Neo10 Pro will get last year’s flagship chipset – Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.
iQOO Neo10 Pro will retain the primary shooter from its predecessor but will upgrade the ultrawide lens to a 50MP sensor. The main camera will support 8K and 4K videos. The massive 6,100mAh Si/C battery on the smartphone will support 120W wired charging. It remains to be seen whether iQOO will offer wireless charging on its midrange gaming smartphone this year.
