Valentin Chmerkovskiy has been spotted celebrating after his wife, professional dancer Jenna Johnson, and the former Bachelor star Joey Graziadei, won this year's Dancing with the Stars.
The couple announced their engagement in 2018, married in 2019 and in 2023, they welcomed their son, Rome Valentin Chmerkovskiy. Johnson has been one of the show's pro dancers since 2016 and Chmerkovskiy officially joined in 2011.
On Tuesday night Johnson and Graziaidei took home the Len Goodman Mirrorball Trophy during the ABC reality competition's Season 33 finale. A video has been posted to X (formerly Twitter) of Chmerkovskiy celebrating the news by jumping up and down with excitement.
He and actor Xochitl Gomez, the winners of Season 32, reunited so they could hand over the trophy.
"We're not talking enough about Val's excitement for Jenna #DWTS #DWTSFinale," X user @rileygboone captioned the post. At the time of writing, it had been viewed more than 68,000 times.
People have taken to the comments to share their thoughts on the clip, with one person writing: "Val gets to pass on the trophy to his wife and Joey. That's so cool."
"Boy went full frog," said another, referring to the fact that Chmerkovskiy jumped incredibly high in the air, with his legs folded.
A third person added: "Val's energy for Jenna is unmatched—he's her biggest cheerleader both on and off the dance floor."
The same clip was also posted by X user @aloktiwariup43 who wrote: "Val's energy for Jenna deserves way more attention." It had been viewed 4,958 times.
Another angle of Chmerkovskiy celebrating was shared on TikTok by user @fanofdwts. The text in the video reads: "Loved Val's reaction to Jenna winning."
They added "so sweet" in the caption. At the time of writing, it had been viewed over 41,000 times.
Prior to their win, Graziadei and Johnson performed a freestyle dance to the song "Canned Heat" by District 78, which earned them a 29/30 rating. For their redemption dance, the two performed a cha-cha to Justin Timberlake's "Can't Stop the Feeling" and received a perfect score.
Graziadei and Johnson were competing against Olympian rugby player Ilona Maher and pro Alan Bersten; Super Bowl champion Danny Amendola partnered with dancer Witney Carson; Olympian gymnast Stephen Nedoroscik and pro Rylee Arnold; and actor Chandler Kinney with dancer Brandon Armstrong.
Maher and Bersten were the runners-up, Kinney and Armstrong came in third, Nedoroscik and Arnold took fourth place and Amendola and Carson were in fifth place.
Things often heat up on the dance floor and during a previous interview on the Trading Secrets podcast, Johnson explained how the show's dance troupe makes sure contestants' significant others feel secure with their partners being on the show.
"I think it's our job to make sure that we can do everything in our power as a partner to make our partners' significant others feel safe and part of the experience," she said. "To be open with our rehearsals, show them videos, make them feel part of it, so it doesn't feel like there's this hidden thing happening."
