Waka Flocka Flame is ready for Ye to drop his new project, Bully.
The rapper hopped on X to voice his opinion about Ye — even suggesting a potential release window for the previously teased LP. “It’s time for another Ye album… I wouldn’t be surprised if my Gemini brother drop before the yr end,” he wrote.
Ye’s last solo album was 2021’s Donda. A few months ago, Ye alerted the world to the possibility of him having a new LP on the way. “I got a new album coming out,” Ye revealed to attendees at a listening party experience in Haikou, China. “The album is called Bully and this song is called 'Beauty and the Beast.'”
After performing a new song, Ye went on to tease the LP by sharing a photo on Instagram captioned, “BULLY.”
At another listening party in Haikou, Ye shared another track, “Preacher Man” — a song that laments that “God didn’t make a couple more of me” while also reflecting on his own legacy.
In October, journalist Touré revealed in his newsletter that Ye’s been working on the new album by himself while he’s living in a Tokyo hotel for an undisclosed amount of time. According to Touré, a source told him: ”This album is 100% him. He’s producing everything 100% himself. This will be 100% Kanye West, which it hasn’t been in many years.”
Of course, there’s always the chance that this LP doesn’t come out. In the past, Ye has been known to announce projects that never drop like Yandhi and TurboGrafx 16.
Just because Ye hasn’t released a solo LP since 2021 doesn’t mean he hasn’t stayed busy musically. He dropped two Vulture installments with Ty Dolla Sign this year alone — and a third is expected before the year ends.
