Walmart’s best Google TV streaming box is $40 in first notable discount

Earlier this year Walmart launched its first “Pro” streaming box with Google TV, bringing better specs and features, but all for a still-very-low price. Now, the Walmart Onn 4K Pro with Google TV is seeing its first real discount, with the price seeing a pretty good cut.

The Walmart Onn 4K Pro generally sells for just shy of $50. The streaming box brings a lot for that price, including a backlit remote, Google TV, and a whole lot more memory, storage, and even a boost in processing power compared to the retailer’s other two Google TV devices. Further, it has the addition of microphones for “Hey Google” commands, and a “Find My Remote” function.

It’s a great deal for the price, especially when you consider that it’s already half the cost of the Google TV Streamer.

Now, it’s an even better deal.

Walmart is currently offering the Onn 4K Pro for $39, a little over $10 off of the usual retail price. That’s the first real discount we’ve seen on the device, and also makes it a no-brainer upgrade over the $20 4K Onn streaming box and even more so the Chromecast, which still has inventory available for $50.
