Warriors Predicted to Land $60M All-Star in Blockbuster Trade

7 hours ago 5

The Golden State Warriors have been hanging around the playoff picture in the Western Conference as we get closer to the trade deadline. Golden State has its eyes set on adding some extra talent to its roster as it looks to go on another playoff run.

The Warriors believe that with star guard Stephen Curry still playing at a high level, they can win a title. But in order to make that happen, they need to bring in more firepower to their current rotation.

In this trade scenario by Greg Swartz of Bleacher Report, Golden State adds another All-Star-level talent. Here is what the deal looks like between the Warriors and Chicago Bulls.

Adding a talent like Vučević to the table could drastically change the course of the Warriors' season. His ability to space the floor effectively could unlock the Golden State offense and bring out a more lethal attack.

Vučević has been an All-Star a few times in his career and has been one of the more consistent players in the NBA. The former USC product has averaged at least 17.6 points in every season since the 2018-2019 year while with the Orlando Magic.

Golden State has had its eye on bringing in Vučević for some time and the Bulls finally seem ready to trade him. Chicago has been looking to enter into a rebuild and they have put Vučević directly on the trade block this year.

The big man also has a team-friendly contract, making $20 million for this season and then again next year. The center spot is an area that the Warriors have been lacking in for years so Vučević would help solidify things.

Losing the depth of Anderson, Payton II, and Looney could be risky but adding Vučević might be worth it. If Golden State is serious about contending this season, they will likely need to make a move like this.

The Warriors could be threats in the West once again by pushing the chips into the middle like this.
