Watch: New Fox Survivor Competition Show Extracted Trailer Drops

Imagine getting dropped into the wilderness with zero survival skills, and your family members are watching you struggle through it via live stream, holding the key to your fate. That’s the concept for Fox’s new reality show, Extracted, and it looks absolutely bonkers. Even wilder — Sylvester Stallone is one of the executive producers. Check out the trailer below.

According to a report from Deadline, Extracted features 12 competitors trying to survive in the Canadian wilderness for a shot at $250,000. Unlike other survival shows, these competitors didn’t train for this. They’re just regular people! Meanwhile, their family members are watching the action unfold in a 24-hour livestream at the HQ.

Like something out of The Hunger Games, the families at the HQ have the power to send resources and rewards to their loved ones. Or, they can press the big “Extract” button to take their loved one, and the entire family, out of the competition.

The whole goal is to push the families to the breaking point and see how much they’ll make their loved ones suffer for a quarter of a million dollars. Like any reality competition, expect alliances and rivalries to form in the HQ while the amateur survivalists leave their blood, sweat, and tears in the wilderness.

“Our survivalists are playing a game out there and trying to survive. We are playing a game in here,” one of the family members at HQ explained in the trailer.

Extracted is produced by Rob Buchta. His previous work includes Running Wild with Bear Grylls and Netflix’s interactive series, You vs. Wild. Plus, Mr. Rocky Balboa himself is serving as an executive producer. His production company is ushering in this new show, alongside Fox and Sony. Welcome back to the reality TV world, Sylvester!
