But in fan-captured footage from night three of her New Orleans stop at Caesars Superdome, the stage – or the 'roomba' as its been nicknamed by fans – stopped working altogether.

The stage suddenly came to a halt mid-song while Swift was still standing and singing on it.

The pop star was quick to shake it off, jumping from the malfunctioning platform to improvise completely new choreography for her performance.

As a result, the superstar had to improvise for her next performance of her song Down Bad, which also uses the moving 'roomba' on stage.

Proving she's ever the professional, the pop star sang from the floor as a giant UFO on the screen appeared behind her.
