Forget the turkey, Wednesday Addams is serving her brother’s head as the main dish for the holiday.
At the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City this year, Netflix will debut a float of Addams, being the most festive she can — serving her brother Pugsley’s head on a platter with Thing by her side. Additionally, there will also be an army of Wednesday lookalikes and a special performance of “Paint it Black” by the indie-pop singer Bishop Briggs.
The celeb-packed lineup for the parade will be led by Alison Brie, Idina Menzel and T-Pain. Special appearances will be made by Jimmy Fallon & The Roots, Kylie Cantrall, Lea Salonga, Jonathan Bennett, Liza Colón-Zayas, Tom Kenny, Ginna Claire Mason and members of the New York Liberty, with mascot Ellie the Elephant.
The Radio City Rockettes will perform along with castmembers from Broadway shows like Death Becomes Her, Hell’s Kitchen and The Outsiders — which won the 2024 Tony for best musical. Menzel will sing “Great Escape” from the new Broadway musical Redwood.
This year will also include new character balloons for Minnie Mouse, Extraordinary Noorah & The Elf on the Shelf, Goku, Spider-Man and more.
While the Addams’ float is a new addition this year, too, it serves to get fans excited as they await the second season of the hit Netflix series, starring Jenna Ortega. Earlier this month, Lady Gaga was cast in season two of the show.
NBC’s Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade will air live from 8:30 a.m. ET until noon ET. The show will stream on Peacock and have an afternoon encore presentation on the main network.
