Coralie Fargeat's five-time BAFTA-nominated film has announced a physical release date, and it is now available to pre-order on digital retailers in DVD, Blu-ray and 4K Ultra HD formats.
The Substance first dazzled audiences in May 2024 when it premiered at the Cannes Film Festival and secured Fargeat an award for Best Screenplay.
Following Demi Moore as Elisabeth, The Substance watches this fading celebrity take advantage of a newfound black-market drug which replicates cells that temporarily create a younger version of the user.
Moore is joined by fellow castmates Margaret Qualley, Dennis Quaid, Edward Hamilton-Clark, Gore Abrams, and Oscar Lesage in the film that's already taken home multiple awards this season, including a Golden Globe for Demi Moore in the Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Motion Picture, Musical or Comedy category.
It's expected that Fargeat's film will secure some Academy Award nominations come January 23 when the Oscar nominations are announced.
Now, you can see what the hype is about from home as The Substance is available across digital and streaming platforms, as well as primed for a physical release.
