Life: Where Are They Now? season 6, episode 2, in 2020. Many viewers were inspired by Alicia’s story, and she appears to be thriving after her time on reality TV.

Alicia became a patient of Dr. Younan Nowzaradan, a.k.a. Dr. Now, after then-boyfriend Tim Carter convinced her to go on My 600-Lb. Life and treat her emotional eating disorder. “When Alicia and I first met, what I did notice was just her carefree spirit, her laugh, and her size didn’t bother me. And I really liked being with her because she was always laughing and smiling. But now it’s almost like she’s a totally different person,” Tim said during Alicia’s episode of the TLC series.
Alicia revealed on the show that her food issues began when she was very young as a result of trauma, as she found comfort in eating. However, she got to the point where she weighed more than 600 pounds and struggled to get out of bed in the morning. She also struggled to walk without getting winded and had joint issues.

Dr. Now put Alicia on a strict diet so that she could shed enough pounds to qualify for bariatric surgery. She lost an initial 186 pounds following My 600-Lb. Life, but that was only the start of her journey. After her surgery, Alicia lost 366 pounds over the course of two years, according to her update on the Where Are They Now? special. This brought her from 622 pounds down to 256 pounds.
“My whole world has completely changed. I’m feeling more independent than ever, and I’m starting to figure out who I am and all the things I want out of life,” she said on the show.
Alicia has continued to share workout videos on social media, including weightlifting content and other forms of exercise, like rock climbing. She has also shared before and after photos showing off her weight loss progress and teased the idea of having excess skin removal surgery, according to The List. However, it’s unclear if she actually had the surgery yet.

As fans saw on My 600-Lb. Life and My 600-Lb. Life: Where Are They Now?, Alicia’s weight loss journey put a strain on her relationship with Tim. He and Dr. Now often did not see eye-to-eye on how Alicia should approach her weight loss.
Alicia announced in 2020 that she and Tim had split after more than eight years together.
“It is with a heavy heart that Tim and I, after much consideration and effort to try and make things work, have decided to separate,” she wrote on Facebook. “We still love each other and will remain friends and cheer each other on to live our best lives whether we live near or far. We unfortunately are just in different places right now and need to separate in order to grow. Tim is a wonderful man and I am so thankful and beyond blessed to have been able to share a good part of my life with him.”

Alicia became a mom to a baby girl named Aylen Nicole on November 6, 2022. She had announced her pregnancy that September.
“Life is certainly full of surprises. I could have never imagined living the life I am now!!! I am excited for the future with my wonderful partner and look forward to welcoming our baby girl into the world!!!” Alicia wrote on Facebook alongside an ultrasound scan. “She is due on Nov 8th. I won’t lie it is definitely scary, this was something I never expected since I had given up the idea of children years ago and I feel completely unprepared. I know however once she is in my arms I will never be able to imagine life without her!”

Alicia revealed in January 2021 that she had moved to the “beautiful little coastal town” of Florence, Oregon. “It is so absolutely gorgeous here with so many adventures just waiting to happen,” she wrote on Facebook.

In the same post about her move, Alicia revealed that she had also started a new job “at Driftwood Shores Resort as Front Desk and Audit Relief.”
