What To Know About Patrick Mahomes Sr.’s Jail Sentence

As mentioned, Tyler Police Department cops bagged Mahomes Sr. in February 2024. At the time, his bond was set at $10,000 for his third time being busted for driving while under the influence. One of his previous guilty pleas to a related offense occurred in 2018. He served 40 days in jail for that incident, checking into detainment on weekends between February 2019 and February 2020.

For this third offense, though, Patrick Mahomes Sr. must serve 10 days consecutive in jail. According to PEOPLE, the 54-year-old checked into Smith County Jail at 4:53 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 21. Officials will reportedly release him from custody on Halloween (Oct. 31), per court records.

More About The Mahomes’ Family

At the time of his dad’s arrest in February, Patrick Mahomes didn’t release any related statements. Instead, the 29-year-old led the Kansas City Chiefs to their 2023 Super Bowl win against the San Francisco 49ers a few days later. Ironically, that was his third SB win.

Most recently, in July, Mahomes and his wife Brittany announced another third moment in their lives. They are expecting their third child together after welcoming two others, Sterling Skye and Patrick III, in recent years. For now, it’s unclear how included Patrick Mahomes Sr. will be in his new granbabies’ life.
