Angela White has had quite the come-up since rebranding from her Blac Chyna past.
The former stripper-video vixen — now reformed mother of two — publicly announced that she’d be going by her birth name in March 2023 after getting baptized. Six months later, she commemorated her first year of sobriety.
Just slightly over two years after that transformative journey began, White announced that her last name would be changing to Gray following her epic engagement to Derrick Milano. He proposed to his girlfriend of over a year over the past weekend at Howard University’s homecoming.
The two went public with the union in 2023 and it’s been a fairytale romance ever since.
“I can’t even express to y’all how much being ‘HAPPY’ changed my life. Even with everything that I’ve done in my career I never really had the time to really sit with myself and celebrate […] at times I actually forgot that I was an actual human being with feelings & emotions. But when I met Angela & committed myself to this relationship I found peace & balance in not only myself but life in general. Chy, I love and value YOU & our relationship so much,” he expressed about his lady and their love.
The hitmaker is more than just her affectionate partner, though. He has Grammys under his belt — a notable one with Beyoncé — and credits with some of music’s top players.
So, here’s everything we know about Blac Chyna’s man.
-
Milano is not his actual last name
The rapper-producer was actually born Derrick Carrington Gray to Virginia and Jeffrey Gray. He has one sister named Autumn, per Delaware Online. He didn’t start going by Derrick Milano until he started his career in 2013.
-
He’s 5 years younger than White
Milano was born Dec. 24, 1993 in Philadelphia. While in high school, he battle-rapped with friends and sang in the school choir. He moved to Florida to pursue higher education at Full Sail University. He began pursuing his music career at age 20. He’s White’s third fiancé and is the youngest long-term partner she’s had.
The pair began dating in May 2023.

He won a Grammy for co-writing Megan Thee Stallion and Beyoncé’s “Savage Remix”
“When I listen to the song now and hear her repeating my words, I’m like, ‘Dang, that’s crazy,'” Milano told Delaware Online/The News Journal of the monumental feat.
He added, “I would have never thought I would have my first No. 1 and first Grammy with Beyoncé on a rap record. I’m super grateful. It’s opened so many doors.”
When he was asked by Bey’s team to collaborate on the hit record, Milano shared that they were looking for quotable bars for TikTok and radio. He explained, “They called and told me, B wants to jump on this ‘Savage’ record. It was a surreal moment and now everybody is asking me, ‘What. Hold up. Why does Beyoncé know about scammers?'”
The line he’s referring to is: “I heard they askin’ for the Queen/ They brought some cameras in here […] All this money in the room/ I think some scammers in here.”

He prides himself for loving his lady “out loud”
One thing about Milano is that he loves himself some Angela White. He frequently shares photos of her on Instagram and shows love to her business ventures.
Back in May when they celebrated their first dating anniversary, they gleefully sang Mario’s “Let Me Love You” to one another. He captioned the video by saying, “I found balance, happiness & GOD when I met you & I can’t thank you enough for helping me grow as not only your Man, but a MAN who genuinely loves his woman.”
He added, “This has been one of the best years in my life. We celebrated every single holiday together, we brought our families & close friends together. We grew together as GODS children & have been living everyday with LOVE, PURENESS & POSITIVITY. I can’t thank you enough for being such an amazing person Angela. I love you so much & that’s never gonna change. From our very first date to even breakfast this morning, it still feels surreal that I found my person & GOD placed us with one another.”
In January, they mutually gushed to Entertainment Tonight about how they found “the one” in each other.

He may become a dad one day
White already has two children: King Cairo and Dream with exes, Tyga and Robert Kardashian. However, she has hinted at having more children with Milano. She reversed her plastic surgery and told her beau via ET that the only time she’d go back under the knife is to have his babies.
“I feel like the only time I’ll have to get surgery again is if I have our babies,” she stated. “I actually had two C-sections, so that’s the only surgery.”
Meanwhile, he is “absolutely” ready to have children of his own with her. For now, he’s happy with the role as a stepfather.
He told REVOLT that 7-year-old Dream “has about four songs ready to go” and she “motivates Angela [who] says her daughter makes her want to go in the studio and put in work.” Fans will be able to see this on the upcoming season of Love & Hip-Hop: Miami. Part of their arch will be him spotlighting “the power of the mother-daughter dynamic when it comes to society and music.”

He’s set to appear on the new season of ‘Love & Hip-Hop: Miami’
He and White are bringing their relationship to reality TV as they announce they’ve joined the cast of Love & Hip-Hop: Miami.
It won’t be the usual messiness associated with the show, though. Milano told REVOLT, “It’s a whole new spin to it — Angela and I will be on the next season and we’re pushing positivity, Black love, spirituality, and diffusing anything in relationships that can be handled and fixed. We’re gonna showcase what it looks like to collaborate and make music from top to bottom. It’s been fun.”
The 30-year-old also noted that he and his fianceé would “control their narrative” and “keep God on their side.”

Billboard dubbed him “Hip-Hop’s Favorite Secret Weapon,” but he can also sing
He earned the nickname from the esteemed publication after getting credits from working with DaniLeigh, Rich The Kid, Kiana Ledé, Justin Bieber, Cardi B, August Alsina, Pop Smoke and of course, Megan Thee Stallion and Beyoncé.
Back in 2020, he expressed that the most pivotal moment of his career until that point was him working on Meg’s “Simon Says.” He noted, “At that time, ‘Hot Girl Summer’ was the biggest conversation and […] I just planted the seed.” Milano dropped his debut album, Remember What You Said, in 2022.
More recently, he appeared on Ciara’s R&B remix of “Da Girls.”
