Why Ben Affleck Has Reportedly Taken His Dating Life off the Table Amid Jennifer Lopez Divorce

Ben Affleck isn’t looking to get cuffed this holiday season. The 52-year-old actor is reportedly putting his dating life on ice amid his divorce from Jennifer Lopez, which took up a lot of his energy and focus in 2024. 

“Ben has no interest in jumping into another relationship at the moment,” a Page Six source said while noting that he’s “focused on numerous projects he’s working on.” They also mentioned that he is “still adjusting to the single life” which is understandable given the very public nature of his romance with Lopez. 

“Ben’s divorce from Jennifer hasn’t even been finalized, but even if it were, dating is just not where his head is at,” they added. The former couple’s divorce is being mediated by celebrity divorce attorney Laura Wasser because of their tricky finances. Affleck and Lopez did not sign a prenuptial agreement and their $68 million Beverly Hills estate, which she is still living in, has not sold. 

Affleck was linked to Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s daughter Kick Kennedy over the summer, but both parties shut down the rumors. The gossip started after the duo was reportedly spotted at the Polo Lounge at the Beverly Hills Hotel, but there was no evidence to prove a fling was happening. “There is no truth to any of it. I don’t know if they even know each other,” Affleck’s spokesperson told People in August. TMZ got her side of the story with Kennedy’s pals sharing that she was “definitely not dating Ben.”

Lopez also isn’t focusing on her dating life, she’s been busy promoting her film, Unstoppable, which was produced by Affleck. She’s putting her energy into show-stopping turns on the red carpet and it has everyone buzzing. (Her black revenge dress is a stunner!) The 55-year-old superstar is allegedly turning to Kim Kardashian for her post-divorce fashion evolution. “She’s always looked up to J.Lo, so she was more than happy to help give her a bit of a makeover,” a source told Heatworld. “It’s not that Jen needed much help, but they’ve been having fun picking out outfits and experimenting with looks that are a little more edgy and eye-catching.”

So, it’s time for everyone to back off Lopez and Affleck when it comes to their dating life. They are putting themselves first!
