Nicole Scherzinger is facing backlash from fans after she wrote — and then deleted — a message seemingly supporting President-elect Donald Trump.
The former Pussycat Dolls frontwoman raised eyebrows when she commented on an Instagram post that outspoken Trump supporter Russell Brand shared on Election Day.
In Tuesday’s photo, the disgraced comedian, 49, smiled while holding up a red hat that read, “Make Jesus First Again” in a play on Trump’s slogan, “Make America Great Again.”
“Where do I get this hat!!!? 🙏🏽❤️,” Scherzinger, 46, asked in the comments section, per screenshots shared on X.
The “Don’t Cha” singer did not endorse Trump or Vice President Kamala Harris prior to the election, but she did share a video that showed her walking to the polls.
“Me on my way to make the right decision today!” she wrote Tuesday.
Several fans criticized Scherzinger for seemingly voting for Trump, 78, since he has opposed legislation to protect the LGBTQIA+ community, which recently supported the pop star as she launched her Broadway career in “Sunset Boulevard.”
People also struggled to understand why Scherzinger commented on Brand’s post after he was accused of rape, sexual assault and emotional abuse last year.
The English podcaster has denied the claims against him.

“Imagine using gay people to promote your new show and then abandoning us at the ballot box. Shame on you,” one person commented on Scherzinger’s recent Instagram post.
“was excited to see you in sunset boulevard till i saw you’re a trump supporter AND a russell brand supporter? /: okay flop,” another person wrote.
“And any Tony nom is gone with the wind! Just like your 🌈 fans. Bye,” someone else chimed in.
“And what decision was that, seeing as you commented support for Trump under Russel [sic] brands post…… 🤮,” another user commented.
“Wow. And you want a Tony? You voted against the very community supporting you,” someone else wrote.
However, other people came to Scherzinger’s defense and pointed out that she is allowed to vote for whomever she wants.
“There’s more important things going on in the world than worrying about what a post Nicole liked,” one person wrote.
“what she’s commented on a photo because she is a Christian and believes in Jesus?! Woaaahhhh yeah so bad,” another user commented.
“If she did vote for Trump, it’s her right to do so no matter what you think. Over half of the people in this country voted for him. I was not one of them. But I have friends and family who did, and although I don’t agree with them, I recognize that as citizens, it is their right to vote the way they want to,” someone else wrote.
Reps for Scherzinger didn’t return Page Six’s request for comment, and the star has not shared a statement on the backlash.
Scherzinger would join several other celebrities, including Elon Musk, 50 Cent, Joe Rogan, Jake Paul, Hulk Hogan and Amber Rose, who shared support for Trump both prior to and after his election victory.
Meanwhile, Taylor Swift, Jennifer Lopez, Beyoncé, Dick Van Dyke, Stevie Nicks and former Republican politician and actor Arnold Schwarzenegger were among the stars to back Harris.
