When Travis Kelce and Jason Kelce launched their "New Heights" podcast back in September of 2022, they surely couldn't have imagined how big it would get. According to Apple, it was the eighth-most popular podcast in the entire United States in 2024, and that includes non-sports shows as well.
Given how famous the two brothers and their show has gotten, it's been no surprise to see more and more notable celebrities joining the show in recent times. But their latest guest might have been the most entertaining, as Will Ferrell made an appearance that drew everyone's attention. Many topics were discussed, and Ferrell even got a low blow in on Travis for a botched celebration in a recent game.
Travis Kelce's Tony Gonzalez celebration wasn't perfect
During the Kansas City Chiefs vs. Pittsburgh Steelers game on Christmas Day, Kelce decided to pay tribute to Tony Gonzalez on a touchdown celebration by dunking the ball through the goalposts. Kelce actually got fined $14,069 for that celebration.
Ferrell couldn't help but bring up the fact that Kelce didn't cleanly dunk it. In fact, he kind of threw it through the goalposts as he didn't get enough elevation to dunk it down.
Ferrell was then asked if he has ever dunked a basketball. He said he got close one time, but the ball slipped out of his hand and "flew off the backboard". It's impressive enough that he got close, though.
