Wolfe Tones legend Brian Warfield has revealed he is a fan of Dancing With The Stars and would be open to talks to participate.

The singer admitted he loves to watch the celebrity dancing competition, which is set to return to RTE in January.

However, Brian didn't have much faith in his dancing skills.

Speaking to the Irish Mirror, he said: "Ah yeah. I like the show. I like watching Dancing with the Stars but I don’t think I’d be able to dance.

"I have two left feet. I can’t dance.

"We’ll see what comes up. I’d be open to anything."

It's not long now until Dancing With the Stars is due to kick off again, with Jennifer Zamparelli and Doireann Garrihy set to return as presenters despite both of them leaving RTE's 2fm earlier in the year. A RTÉ statement in August confirming the hosts for the 2025 season of the dancing show read: "Jennifer Zamparelli and Doireann Garrihy present Dancing with the Stars, as a host of new celebrities compete for the coveted glitterball."

Brian just wrapped up his farewell tour with the Wolfe Tones, but they are set to perform a final farewell show in Limerick next summer, tickets for which sold out in just minutes after going on sale last month. There is now the possibility of adding a second date due to popular demand.

"We have been completely overwhelmed by the response to our Thomond Park Stadium show, which sold out in record time!" said Brian.

"We are truly humbled by the incredible demand to see The Wolfe Tones live, and it’s an honour to bring our music to such an iconic venue. We will talk to everyone involved to look at a possible second date for Thomond Park Stadium."

However, Brian said that fans will never see the band on RTE's Late Late Show.

"The Late Late Show isn’t going to have us on," he said. "There is a systemic ban on the Wolfe Tones. They just don’t want The Wolfe Tones on The Late Late Show or RTE."
