Post-Christmas clear-out becomes an internet sensation as mum's tidy-up routine goes viral on social media.

With her living room swamped in festive debris, TikTok sensation Catherine Benson revealed her method for restoring order post-Christmas celebrations.

Despite her diligent efforts which have taken the internet by storm, the masses are quizzing the same thing about the Benson residency.

Witnessing the chaos of scattered games and sweet wrappers, legions of followers questioned who let rip the havoc.

Catherine's cleaning montage, capturing her solo mission to pick up after her tribe, has ignited a debate on whether she should single-handedly wield the broom.

One follower interrogated: "What is the reason you don't require your kids to clean their own mess?" While that query hung unanswered, another submission snagged Catherine's response.

They probed: "Do you ever get tired by cleaning everything alone?" To which she declared: "No I prefer it. If and when I want help I always have it."

The relatability of Catherine’s domestic landscape hit home with another user, who expressed relief that their own abode resembled the disorderly scene. They said: "Thank goodness my house isn't the only house that looks like this."

Catherine has expressed her love for the post-Christmas chaos, saying: "The after Christmas chaos is always beautiful to me I honestly don't mind it... for a little while that is."

Despite some followers expressing their dislike for the festive mess, Catherine doesn't seem fazed, even embracing the disorder as part of the holiday spirit.

She shared her laid-back approach, adding: "Call me crazy but the after Christmas mess has never really bothered me. It's a reminder of Christmas morning I normally leave it a mess until the 26th."

The conversation has sparked a flurry of cleaning tips among users, with one suggesting a cleverly disguised bin. "So we have a big box that we wrapped in wrapping paper that is our 'trash can' while opening gift," they said. "That way, in photos, you don't see trash or big trash bags in the pics!" Others chimed in with their own methods, including using large bags or boxes for discarded wrapping paper.

Some even find joy in the tidying up, with one user sharing: "For some reason I love squishing all the used wrapping paper into one box like it's oddly satisfying."
