Rumors that John Cena would face off against Logan Paul at his final Wrestlemania have been spreading for months now, but a new report claims that WWE wants nothing to do with the idea.

According to @WrestleVotes, "Sources indicate recent rumors of Logan Paul vs. John Cena at WrestleMania have, at the very least, been discussed. However, the idea has been met with resounding disapproval from several within creative. The general feeling is that this shouldn't be Cena's final WrestleMania match."
Cena is currently on a retirement tour, having announced he would spend 2025 as a full-time wrestler before leaving the ring for good, most likely at the end of next year.
WWE has already revealed that he will participate in his final Royal Rumble match on February 1 and step into the Elimination Chamber one last time on March 1. As for his final WrestleMania appearance, however, the opponent remains uncertain.
Paul, who will debut on Raw during the Netflix premiere on January 6, has already set his sights on becoming the World Heavyweight Champion.
Paul is among several WWE talents who have expressed a desire to share the ring with Cena before his retirement, and despite speculation, a potential Cena vs. Logan matchup at WrestleMania 41 appears to be off the table for WWE Creative.
While a match between Cena and Paul would undoubtedly be a financial blockbuster, the idea of it happening at WrestleMania 41 has sparked significant controversy among fans and apparently, behind the scenes at the company.
Cena, who has held 16 world championships—tying Ric Flair's legendary record—has the opportunity to break that milestone if WWE chooses to book him for another title run before his retirement. For many fans, the idea of Cena facing an outsider best known as a YouTube influencer like Paul instead of competing for a world title is a hard pill to swallow.

Although Logan Paul has already fought in high-profile matches, including a shot at the Undisputed WWE Championship, he has yet to be seen as a true threat in the eyes of many fans.
His outsider status—combined with widespread skepticism about his wrestling ability—has fueled debate about whether this match would be a fitting end to Cena's legendary career or a questionable cash grab.
If this report is to be believed, it seems that WWE itself doesn't want to end Cena's Wrestlemania career on that kind of note. Right now, we don't know who he'll face off against, but it's increasingly unlikely that it'll be Paul.
