During an appearance on the SEC Network, WWE Hall of Famer Bill Goldberg officially announced that he will have his retirement match in 2025.

"Here's the deal," Goldberg said as footage of him yelling at Gunther played in the background. "The news of the day is that, per three executives -- Nick Khan, Chris Legentil, and Paul Levesque -- in 2025, Goldberg is having his retirement match!"

"I think we know who the subject or the victim, probably the frontrunner right now, we know who it is." Goldberg said while pointing to the screen. "In 2025, Goldberg makes his return in a retirement match."

Goldberg further elaborated that he has "a couple months" to get ready and that there is currently no date or time set.
