While it's always great to see new and exciting stars in professional wrestling, nothing beats the nostalgia of seeing longtime favorites.

Such was the case for fans heading to MCW Pro Wrestling, where WCW and WWE icon Kevin Nash was set to make an appearance.

Unfortunately, it doesn't look like Big Sexy will be attending after all.

MCW Pro Wrestling took to social media to share that, due to severe back pain, Nash will not be able to attend the event.

"Kevin Nash reached out to us directly with a video message explaining that he's been dealing with herniated disks in his back," MCW Pro Wrestling said. "He's been back and forth to therapy and working with his doctors, but his condition has unfortunately made it impossible for him to travel this weekend."

"While we're sad that he can't join us, we are grateful that [Kevin Nash] took the time to record this message for everyone."

Fortunately, it looks like MCW Pro Wrestling has found suitable replacements that are just as legendary: Booker T and JBL.

"We understand this change may be disappointing for some, but we're excited to have two legendary replacements in Booker T and JBL, who are ready to deliver an unforgettable experience," MCW Pro Wrestling said. "Thank you for your understanding, and please join us in wishing Kevin Nash a speedy recovery!"

MCW Pro Wrestling also stated that all Meet & Greet packages will be honored and refunds are available.

In the attached video, Nash got candid about what exactly he had been going through, noting that his back issues stem from decades of professional wrestling.

"Had some problems with a couple of herniated discs in my back," Nash said. "I've been back and forth through therapy and doctors and MRIs and everything else. I thought that I'd be able to travel and make a couple of appearances. At this point right now, I couldn't even make the flight."

Nash further elaborated that he doesn't use pain medication and he is "pretty much on raw nerves right now."

"I'll tell you one thing, man. I definitely paid the price. Again, sorry I couldn't make it. But if there's any way I could have, I would have because I was looking forward to seeing everyone. Especially after that Ravens win," Nash concluded with a smile.
