WWE superstar Karl Anderson has revealed that a recent surgery has taken him out "indefinitely," despite previous hopes that he might be able to get back into the ring by Wrestlemania.

During a recent episode of the "Talk'n Shop" podcast, Anderson provided an update on his shoulder injury. Initially, in November, he had projected a recovery period of six to nine months.
However, in the December 19 episode, Anderson revealed the injury was more serious than anticipated, stating, "I am out indefinitely. I'd say at least six or seven more months with a torn rotator cuff and torn labrum."
Anderson had previously undergone surgery to repair a torn rotator cuff tendon and a partially torn labrum.
"It happened two months ago, I felt something in a match and didn't think anything of it because that's what we do," Anderson said at the time. "The next week, something else happened in a match again. 'That hurt a little worse,' but still thought nothing of it because that's how we've always rolled."
He also clarified that this is a new injury, not a re-aggravation of a past issue, as he had originally thought. Despite the extended recovery time, Anderson reported some progress, though his return to the ring is still months away.

Anderson's last in-ring appearance was in a dark match on October 1 during the NXT show, where he and his Good Brothers tag teammate Luke Gallows were defeated by Hank and Tank. His last televised match was on the September 24 episode of NXT, also against Hank and Tank, which ended in another loss.
As a result of his injury and the prolonged recovery, Anderson confirmed that he would miss WrestleMania 41. Although his return date is uncertain, Anderson is focused on his recovery, with Gallows humorously noting that Anderson's arm is still functional and not "flapping" like a doll, as they had initially feared.
Anderson is best known for his time in WWE, NJPW, and Impact Wrestling, where he achieved great success as part of The Good Brothers. The duo won multiple IWGP Tag Team Championships in NJPW, Impact World Tag Team Championships in Impact Wrestling, and the WWE Raw Tag Team Championship.
Anderson is also a former member of the Bullet Club faction and has held the ROH World Tag Team Championship and NJPW NEVER Openweight Six-Man Tag Team Championship.
