You might recognize Xóchitl Gomez for any of her attention-grabbing performances in hits like "Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness" or "The Baby-Sitters Club," or maybe for her huge win last year on "Dancing With the Stars." The Mexican American actress is only 18, but it's clear she's already making waves in Hollywood and beyond.

And her next project is an exciting one: she'll star alongside Bill Hader in an animated reprise of "Cat in the Hat." As she teased to ET, "My character's so dramatic and so crazy, she's — I love her."

It's not every day that a young Latina actress lands such big roles, but Gomez is living out representation for her community. Last year, USC Annenberg's Inclusion Initiative found that Latine characters only made up 5.5 percent of characters in 1,600 popular movies, despite making up 19 percent of the US population. That's why a new generation of Latine actors — of which Gomez is a part — is so crucial.

As Gomez's career takes off, we wanted to know get to know her a little better, so we asked her which products she can't live without. Keep reading to find out five of her must haves, from a drug-store beauty buy to her favorite piece of workout equipment.

While some celebs stick solely to luxury beauty products, Gomez appreciates a more affordable option for mascara. Her pick is Maybelline Lash Sensational Firework Mascara ($11, originally $14). "Maybelline is my girl; this mascara never disappoints," she says. "It lifts my lashes and is so buildable."

Pro tip: As Gomez's favorite option proves, you don't have to spend a ton on mascara to find a formula that works for you. Our editors have tested out hundreds of products as well, and have landed on some of our favorites of the year here.

Gomez is among the ranks of celebrities who can't get enough of their Peloton Bike ($1,295, originally $1,445). As she says, the bike "offers so many classes with different levels and workout styles." But the best part? The classes will really motivate you. "The instructors are so uplifting and always make me want to cross the finish line — yes, even when I feel like my legs are jelly," she laughs.

Pro tip: Gomez's favorite Peloton class? "There's nothing like a Robin Arzón 20-minute Tabata ride," she says, referring to the high intensity interval training workout. As PS has previously reported, the benefits of Tabata workouts — in which you do 20 seconds of hard work followed by 10 seconds of rest — are well-documented.

Of course, someone who's darting off to voice recording sessions, shoots, and more needs coffee to fuel their busy schedule. And for Gomez, that means turning on her Keurig K-Classic Coffee Maker ($80, originally $150). "I love coffee, every morning," she says. "The Keurig coffee maker makes things so easy."

Pro tip: Gomez loves this coffee maker because all you need to do is "put some water in and pop your pod in and there you go," she says. "It makes my chaotic busy mornings so much easier."

Gomez says she loves the Drunk Elephant T.L.C. Sukari Babyfacial ($80) "not only for its cute name, but because it exfoliates my skin, leaving it feel refreshed and new." She adds that she can really see the difference after using the product: "I notice my skin brightens up when I use it."

Pro tip: If you like Drunk Elephant products and want to brighten up your complexion even more, one beauty writer tested out the brand's viral B-Goldi Bright Illuminating Drops ($38), which have a subtle highlighting effect you can incorporate into your makeup routine.

Away luggage has gotten a lot of hype in the past few years, and Gomez says it's all warranted. She has a hot pink luggage set, and she especially loves The Trunk ($326, originally $435). "The built-in organization helps when I'm trying to pack," she says.

Pro tip: Although Gomez is a big Away fan, she says that her Adidas Defender Duffle Bag ($27, originally $45) gets "honorable mention" for her travel must have. "My girl's been through the wringer, and she's still going," she jokes. "It's such a durable bag, and I used it every single day during 'Dancing With the Stars' and the DWTS tour."
