Ye has declared himself the only person that matters in anyone's top rapper list.
On Tuesday, the artist formerly known as Kanye West sat down for an interview with Justin Laboy, and a separate black-and-white clip included in the conversation shows the rapper going on a bold rant, establishing himself as the top rapper in the game. According to Ye, he's putting pressure on people, and no one is competing with him, not even UMG CEO Lucian Grainge.
"And as far as all these rappers go, "Dylan, Dylan, Dylan. Ye, Ye, Ye, that's it. Top 5, top 100, top 1,000, top million, nobody did it. Y'all could play around, don't step over the line, though," said Ye. "Everybody, anybody, it's up for everybody. I got bigger fish to fry, I got people to save. I ain't even on the rap shit. I already beat the rap shit, I already beat the money shit, baddest bitch shit, I already beat the drip. I'm not even in competition with Lucian [Grainge]."
The 24-time Grammy Award winner continued saying he competes with huge companies like Spotify and that people have run his name through the mud while giving his "position" away to others, stating he's the "king" and no one is over him. He also claimed he was the only person to go against every competition.
"Any summer, every summer, there's no king. I'm the king 'cause I'm the only one against y'all. I'm the only one that's gonna go against y'all. That's why, that's why. Yeezy over everything," Ye said to close out his rant.
Later in his interview with Laboy, Kanye claimed anyone who beefs with Kendrick Lamar would automatically lose except for himself because he's a "psycho genius." Check out the whole interview below.
