Young's Motorsports has announced a new development as they prepare for the 2025 NASCAR Xfinity Season, signing Anthony Alfredo as their full-time driver.
The team, entering only its second year in the Xfinity Series, has high expectations for Alfredo, a seasoned racer with a strong track record.
Young's Motorsports has quickly risen within the NASCAR arena, particularly as they transition from the Truck Series to the more competitive Xfinity Series.
Their debut year in 2024 saw driver Leland Honeyman secure top-5 and top-10 finishes at Talladega and Daytona, respectively.
Anthony Alfredo brings a wealth of experience to Young's Motorsports. He has contributed significantly to teams like Our Motorsports and BJ McLeod Motorsports over the past few years.
In the 2024 season alone, Alfredo achieved seven top-10 finishes, with two among the top 5. One of his standout performances was at Michigan, where he managed a P4 finish. Alfredo's reputation includes turning top-20 cars into top-15 or top-10 contenders.
Beginning his career in kart racing, Alfredo transitioned to winning in Legends cars, going on to shine in the Southeast Limited Late Model Series Pro Division.
His journey through the ranks has seen him participating in various NASCAR series. Alfredo was part of the 2018 NASCAR NEXT class, a program designed to spotlight promising drivers.
His stint in the ARCA Menards Series East back in 2018 marked another milestone, where he earned a series of top finishes, including a victory.
In the NASCAR Xfinity Series, Alfredo has driven for teams such as Richard Childress Racing and Our Motorsports. His experience extends to the NASCAR Cup Series as well, where in 2021, he competed for the Rookie of the Year award, finishing 30th overall with one top-ten result.
Speaking about his upcoming move to Young's Motorsports, Alfredo explained:
"I am very excited to join the Young's Motorsports team this season.
"I certainly respect what Tyler and his team are building.
"It's clear they are determined to become a serious contender in the NASCAR Xfinity Series and I look forward to being a part of that. I am grateful for the opportunity and am ready to make the most of it."
Young's Motorsports team principal Tyler Young also commented:
"This is huge for us.
"Anthony is a wheelman. The Xfinity Series competition is stout, he absolutely has what it takes to win in this field. I am pumped we get to keep growing our Xfinity program with him this season."
