YouTube Music is rolling out a new “Pin to Speed dial” option that lets you customize the new grid introduced in October.
Open the overflow menu for any song, music video, album, or playlist (but not artist or podcast) for a new “Pin to Speed dial” option. This will add that work to your 3×3 grid with a pin icon in the top-right corner.
You can tap the three-dot button or long-press, with this option also available from the Now Playing screen. Once done with something, you can “Unpin from Speed dial” from the same menu.
This is very useful for pinning your Liked Music auto-playlist so that it’s always in the same position, while it also provides quick access to your current earworm. In many ways, this is close to how people have long wanted to pin YT Music carousels/sections to a fixed position in the Home feed.
Pins are synced across your Android and iOS devices. (Speed dial is still not available on Android tablets or the web, with Listen again remaining.)
We’re seeing Pin to Speed dial rolled with version 7.29 (Android) and 7.31 (iOS) of YouTube Music.
