Zach Bryan’s social media activity is raising eyebrows after Brianna “Chickenfry” LaPaglia’s abuse claims.
While the country singer has yet to address his ex-girlfriend’s accusations in Thursday’s bombshell episode of her “BFFs” podcast, he reposted a black-and-white photo of author Jack Kerouac to his Instagram Story.
The social media upload included a cryptic quote from the classic novel “On the Road.”
It read, “I didn’t know what to say. I felt like crying, Goddammit everybody in the world wants an explanation for your acts and for your very being.”
Instagram users called out Bryan, 28, in the comments section for “speaking in riddles.”
The songwriter also revealed the music he was listening to on his Instagram Story, from J.R. Carroll’s “Hometown Hero” to Matt Maeson’s “Cringe.”

He and LaPaglia, 25, broke up last month after one year of dating.
“I have had an incredibly hard year personally and struggled through some severe things,” Bryan wrote via Instagram at the time. “I thought it would be beneficial for both of us to go our different ways.”
In a tearful response via YouTube, LaPaglia promised to come “back … ready to talk” — and did so Thursday.
Not only did she accuse her ex-boyfriend of emotional abuse, but she claimed to have turned down a $12 million dollar offer to stay silent about their split.
“I started to forget that I was someone, I was established, I was successful before him,” LaPaglia said of refusing the alleged sum. “I will not accept any money. I think it’s beneath me. I think that it’s f–ked up.”
She detailed specific stories during the episode, including the time Bryan allegedly “freaked the f–k out” when she sang Morgan Wallen lyrics “under [his] roof.”
LaPaglia also claimed Bryan unfollowed her on Instagram and “ruined” her night over the sheer dress she wore to the 2024 Golden Globe Awards in January.
Her co-host Dave Portnoy previously told “The Unnamed Show” listeners that the “immature” performer was also upset with his partner that night for paying a compliment to a male celebrity on the red carpet.
Bryan’s rep has yet to respond to Page Six’s request for comment.
