Woody Cook penned an emotional tribute to Zoe Ball following news of her BBC Radio 2 exit (Image: Channel 4)
Zoe Ball's son paid a heartfelt tribute to the presenter following her announcement that she will be stepping down from her BBC Radio 2 Breakfast Show at the end of December.
Woody Cook, 23, who has carved out a career as a DJ and appeared on reality TV show The Circle, took to social media to express his feelings and his excitement for what lies ahead now that Zoe has decided to step down from her show.
Praising her time on the airwaves, Woody shared a snap featuring Zoe, his dad Fatboy Slim, 61, and his sister Nelly, 14, writing: "Well done Mama on a fabulous stint on Radio 2!
"Here's to more time at home! Excuse the whole family pic can't find enough crackers with @zoetheball. YOU ARE AMAZING. 4AM is a crazy time to get up!"
Zoe, 53, was quick to respond to her son's touching post, commenting: "Love you Bear. beyond xxx."

Zoe shares Woody and Nelly with Fatboy Slim, real name Norman Cook, who she was married to from 1999 to 2020.
Her decision to leave the Breakfast Show was made public earlier in the week, along with the news that Scott Mills would be her successor come the New Year.
Addressing her departure, Zoe said: "After six years of fun times alongside you all on the breakfast show, I've decided it's time to step away from the early alarm call and start a new chapter."
The Top of the Pops star admitted she was "beyond thrilled" that Scott will be her replacement, telling listeners: "Scott and I go way back to our Radio 1 days, when he was doing early mornings before me. He's been a close friend for years, and I'm beyond thrilled it's him taking over the Breakfast Show.
"Breakfast has always been his dream, and what a year he's had - from racing around the world to his beautiful wedding to Sam. He's not only a blooming brilliant producer but one of the best in radio. I can't wait to tune in on the school run!"

Zoe reassured listeners about her future plans, stating that she wouldn't be "going to be a stranger" and would remain part of her "Radio 2 crew", although she didn't divulge any further details.
She said: "While I'm stepping away from the Breakfast Show, I'm not disappearing entirely - I'll still be part of the Radio 2 family, with more news in the New Year."
On Instagram, Zoe didn't hesitate to show her gratitude: "Really touched, thanks for the messages, thrilled for my mates Scott, Trevor, Spoony and Sophie."
