The Radford family's 22 Kids and Counting show on Channel 5 returned to the screens with a fresh episode packed with drama.
Throughout the episode, last night, Sunday, January 26, dad Noel became conerned by his wife Sue's unusual silence and secretive behaviour. Worried, he reached out to her mum and even sought help from their daughters.
His concern escalated when he discovered a leaflet containing information about early dementia in their family van. Confronting Sue at home, the father-of-22 asked: "What's been going on?", leading to Sue revealing one of her close pals who had been diagnosed with early dementia at just 49, reports the Mirror.
Sue confessed her friend wanted to keep the diagnosis private at first, not even sharing it with her own family. Apologising to Noel, she said: "I'm sorry, it's been awful! But now she's told her family, I can tell you, so... she's got early onset dementia", leaving Noel shocked and exclaiming: "Oh my God! ."
In a direct-to-camera segment, Sue shared: "Gradually her memory will get worse, it's a reality check, it could happen to anyone and you never know what's around the corner", admitting the news had "knocked her for six".

This family appeared in a spin-off show called 22 Kids and A Wedding, which featured Millie Radford tying the knot with her partner Harley Passmore. Earlier in the month, the family graced the This Morning show with their presence and following a commercial break, a beaming Cat Deeley playfully remarked to viewers: "I love this mayhem!"
Cat was commenting on the impressive crowd of 18 seated on the sofa, ready to chat about their experiences as part of Channel 5's popular series, 22 Kids and Counting. However, not everyone seemed thrilled to be live on air as the youngest of their clain, grandchild Ronnie, couldn't hold back his tears.
With the interview underway, we saw Katie cradling her little one, attempting to soothe the child, but it proved unsuccessful, prompting an ITV crew member to step in. As Sue spoke, the diligent production team member whisked the infant off-screen.
Recognising the disruption, Ben Shephard addressed the audience: "We're just passing Ronnie out so he can have a little bit of a walk around the studio. Vicks is taking control! You're in charge now, Vicks."
