Why you need to watch it: "This supernatural horror movie is just plain creepy. It's all shot to look like you're watching a late-night TV broadcast from Halloween night in the '70s, and when the host takes part in a live séance everything takes a VERY dark turn. It's super tense and clever and a wild ride, so just trust me on this one."

What it's about: "Based on the Jack Ketchum novel of the same name (and the real-life murder of Sylvia Likens), this movie follows the unspeakable torture and abuses committed on a teenage girl in the care of her aunt and the boys who witness and fail to report the crime."

Why you need to watch it: "It's the only movie that has ever made me feel sick to the point of tears. I kinda have an obsession with disturbing films, but knowing that Sylvia Likens was very real makes this movie just horrific."

What it's about: "A filmmaker decides to memorialize a murdered friend when his friend's ex-girlfriend announces she is expecting his son."

Why you need to watch it: "It's a documentary about a man's murder and the unplanned son he ended up having with his murderer. It's not a horror movie, but it will stick with you forever."
