Whenever Nicole Kidman is set to go on the red carpet, we know we’re in for a treat. Over the past 30+ years, Kidman has truly rocked some incredible looks, and the ensembles are always unconventional in one way or another.

In a previous interview with Vogue Australia, Kidman talked about how she’ll always opt to wear something bold in some way, rather than playing it safe. “Cause you know that part about me where I’m like, ‘I’m just going to do what I want to do, ultimately!’ And just have some fun,” she said. “And just commit, like really commit when I show up, do it. But there’s got to be some fun. And sometimes it’s going to work, and sometimes it isn’t. But I love the idea of being bold and not fitting into a box.”
And if you’ve ever wondered what her favorite look is throughout her over 30-year career, it’s actually the blue Armani Privé gown she donned at the 2018 Oscars. She even wrote about it for Harper’s Bazaar, saying, “No dress has ever changed my life. Marrying my husband, Keith [Urban], having children—those things changed my life. Nevertheless, the fairy-tale aspect of wearing couture is a glorious sidebar to my career… it really does have that Cinderella quality.”
