90 Day Fiancé star Shekinah Garner stormed off the set of the tell-all after she became upset about fiancé Sarper Güven’s past being brought up.
During the 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way season 6 tell-all on Monday, November 18, Shekinah, 42, was confronted by an American woman named DeeDee, whom Sarper, 44, met three years earlier on a dating site.
DeeDee made several claims about Saper, including that they “stayed in touch” until November 2022. She also speculated that Sarper may be put off by Shekinah’s “possessiveness” in their relationship.
Shekinah asked DeeDee about her current relationship with Sarper, and the tension escalated when the personal trainer said that he considered DeeDee to be a “friend.”
DeeDee added that Sarper told her about his relationship with Shekinah, and she even offered to “hang out” with them if Shekinah “wanted.” However, Shekinah quickly shut down the offer.
Sarper’s former fling added that she was interested in meeting Shekinah, though he said “no because she was possessive and unpredictable.”
Shekinah fired back by stating that it was “weird that she thought we could hang out,” adding that the idea was “insane.”
Despite remaining in touch with Sarper, DeeDee said that he “will never cheat” on Shekinah. She then praised how much the former playboy – who previously slept with nearly 3,000 women – has grown over the years. “I think that he will be very honest and very loyal [to Shekinah],” she said.
While DeeDee had nothing but good things to say about Sarper, she was less complimentary about Shekinah. “I think it does seem a little bit toxic, like unhealthy in a lot of ways,” she said about Sarper and Shekinah’s relationship.
“That’s fine. I don’t care what you think about our relationship,” Shekinah responded. “I just think it’s funny you have such an opinion, like you don’t even know him.”
After Dee Dee claimed that she and Sarper still communicated via text, Shekinah made it clear she wasn’t happy with the allegations and she stormed off the stage. She then explained to producers that she was sick of hearing about Sarper’s past.
“I’ve dealt with this past ever since we met and I’m tired of it,” she angrily said. “It was the bottle collection, it was ex’s reaching out, it was his book. Now it’s this person. I’m tired of it.”
Shekinah added that Sarper needed “to be the man” that she needed “him to be.” The TLC personality continued, “And if he can’t catch on, then we can’t walk down the aisle.”
DeeDee then showed the other stars proof of conversations she and Sarper had over text, and Shekinah grew even more upset when he didn’t come backstage to console her. “Why did it take you so long to come up here?” she asked once they finally reunited.
She said that he “can do better than that” and the “only person you should be concerned with making happy is the person that’s in your life.” Shekinah asked, “Is that woman in your life? … Is that other woman in your life? Why do you care about making her happy?”
The mother of one added that his “past has come up to haunt us nonstop since we’ve been together.” She stated, “I don’t want to keep living moments like this over and over. It’s creating small fractures in our relationship that’s going to end up in a big break. I promise you, I just know how things like this go.”
While Sarper insisted that she was “the winner,” Shekinah replied, “Nobody’s winning. If you’re going to look at yourself as a prize, then you need to act like one.”
The argument concluded with Sarper and Shekinah reconciling. “Stop saying things like that!” she told him as they hugged.
