90 Day Fiance’s Tigerlily Taylor Abdelfattah Breaks Silence on 1st Marriage: ‘Got Out of It’

Although 90 Day Fiancé star Tigerlily Taylor Abdelfattah has only spoken publicly about her second husband who left her in a “golden birdcage,” the TLC alum broke her silence for the first time on her first marriage.

Tigerlily, 41, was asked by a fan why she “kept quiet” about the marriage in an Instagram Q&A on Monday, November 18. “I didn’t necessarily ‘keep it quiet,’ it just wasn’t relevant,” she replied back. “I was young and did it, then a week later was like oops … and then got out of it.”

In Touch confirmed Tigerlily was married twice before her marriage to Adnan Abdelfattah, which played out during season 6 of 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days. Tigerlily filed for divorce from Adam Azulai in June 2011, according to legal documents viewed by In Touch. The divorce, which did not include children, was finalized a few months later.

Tigerlily remarried two years later to her second husband, Darren Mark Taylor – whom she’s hinted to on the show— in June 2013. After eight years of marriage and welcoming two children together, In Touch confirmed Darren filed for divorce from Tigerlily in 2021.

The divorce was never finalized as the result of a nonsuit — which occurs “when the plaintiff or petitioner files a notice with the court and other parties to the lawsuit that they no longer wish to pursue the case,” according to Texas Law Help — which was filed six days later. A judge granted the request on June 30, 2021, and the divorce case was closed. It is no longer active, but is viewable by the public.

Tigerlily followed up with her own divorce paperwork on August 11, 2021. Darren filed a counter petition on August 13, 2021, where he accused her of committing adultery during their marriage.

“The marriage has become insupportable because of discord or conflict of personalities between Counterpetioner and Counterrespondent that destroys the legitimate ends of the marriage relationship and prevents any reasonable expectation of reconciliation,” the court documents read. “Correspondent has committed adultery.”

Similar to Darren’s filing, the pair filed a joint order of a nonsuit on February 16, 2022, and a judge granted the request that same day. The second divorce case was closed, and it is no longer active but is viewable by the public. The pair appear to be technically still married, according to all available court documents viewed by In Touch.

This could have negative effects on her marriage to Adnan, 22, and his future in the United States. U.S. law prohibits an individual from being legally married to two people simultaneously, and Tigerlily’s legal relationship status could complicate any future immigration paperwork involving her new husband.

Fans watched as Tigerlily married Adnan during their first in-person meeting on the spinoff. The couple connected through social media and, after four months of video calls, decided that Tigerlily would travel to Jordan to meet the model — and tie the knot the same day due to his Muslim faith.
