In the months leading up to Fox’s separation from Beverly Hills 90210 star Brian Austin Green, she and MGK met on the set of Midnight in the Switchgrass in early March 2020. On March 11, MGK shared the first photo linking the two on his Instagram: an unassuming shot of their cast chairs set side by side.

The indie thriller’s production shut down on March 16 in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic, but rumors began to circulate that the two actors were still spending time with one another.

May 15, 2020: Fox is Spotted With MGK in His Aston Martin

The swirling rumors picked up speed when Fox and MGK were spotted together in the musician’s Aston Martin on May 15, 2020. Daily Mail captured photos of the two in Calabasas, picking up takeout and then heading to Fox’s gated community.

May 20, 2020: MGK Releases ‘bloody valentine’ Music Video Featuring Fox

The dating rumors were practically cemented when Kelly released the music video for his single, ‘bloody valentine,’ starring himself and Fox, who plays his devious, domineering girlfriend. In the video, Fox is seen duct-taping MGK’s mouth, tying him up as her hostage, stepping on his face, and lovingly force-feeding him a donut before replacing the tape over his mouth and planting a teasing, sultry kiss on his covered lips, among other devilishly steamy scenes.

The intimate nature of their characters’ roles coupled with their Instagram posts teasing the video and sharing behind the scenes had the public convinced the two had to be dating, but the confirmation was yet to come.

June 15, 2020: Fox & MGK are Spotted Holding Hands and Kissing

On June 15, 2020, Daily Mail delivered the much-anticipated hard evidence that Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly were indeed a couple with a variety of photos of the pair holding hands and kissing outside of Mr. Furley’s Bar in Sherman Oaks, California.

Later that same day, MGK tweeted a lyric from ‘bloody valentine,’ “i’m calling you girlfriend, what the fuck,” adding “life imitated art on that one.” He didn’t outright say “Hello world, Megan Fox and I are romantically involved,” but that was basically what he implied on the bird app, and with new photos of the two circulating, it was pretty obvious that they were more than just castmates and friends at that point.

June 17, 2020: Fox & MGK are Officially Dating

Less than 48 hours later, Us Weekly confirmed Fox and MGK had become official, with a source sharing, “Megan and MGK have gotten more serious and are officially dating and referring to one another as boyfriend and girlfriend.”

July 22, 2020: Fox & MGK Give Their First Joint Interview

Appearing as guests on Randall Emmett and Lala Kent’s podcast, Give Them Lala… With Randall, on July 22, 2020, the couple dove into the beginnings of their astrological connection.

MGK, Emmett, and Fox all worked on Midnight in the Switchgrass together, with Emmett directing the film. On his podcast, Fox shared her initial reaction to MGK being cast in the film, saying “I could feel that some wild shit was going to happen to me from that meeting, but I wasn’t yet sure what. I just felt it like, deep in my soul, that something was going to come from that.”

She also recalled that within just a few days of filming together, she could feel a powerful connection with MGK. “I knew right away that he was what I call a twin flame. Instead of a soul mate, a twin flame is actually where a soul has ascended into a high enough level that it can be split into two different bodies at the same time. So we’re actually two halves of the same soul, I think. And I said that to him almost immediately, because I felt it right away.”

While MGK shared he didn’t have quite the same certainty about a potential relationship with Fox, he did recall waiting for her to arrive on set every day, hoping “to catch one glimpse of eye contact.” He continued, “She would have to get out of her car. There were like, five steps between the car and the trailer, and I would just sit there and hope.”

July 28, 2020: The Couple Makes Their Relationship Instagram Official

On July 28, 2020, Fox and MGK partook in the modern declaration of love by posting their first mirror selfie on MGK’s Instagram. With a moody, slightly pink-hued filter and their tongues playfully sticking out, his caption read, “waited for eternity to find you again…” with a few of their now signature emojis, including a heart, a cosmic swirl, and not one but two knives. And, of course, the musician tagged the photo’s location as “The Universe.” Romeo and Juliet could never.

Then, on August 5, 2020, Fox uploaded a pic herself to make it insta-official.

Fox couldn’t let the public think her relationship with MGK was a one-way street on his part, now could she? Confirming that she was in it just as deep as him, Fox shared a black and white mirror selfie on her own account with the caption reading, “Achingly Beautiful Boy… My heart is yours” with some knife and heart emojis (obvi). You can feel the passion and fervor behind her words — their intense declarations confirmed that their romance is indeed one for the stars.

August 14, 2020: MGK Makes It Very Clear He’s Serious About Fox

During an appearance on BuzzFeed Celeb’s Thirst Tweets, MGK made it abundantly clear to the world that he only has eyes for Fox — then, now, and potentially forever.

In response to a fan tweet asking him out on a date, he responded with “I’m locked in already right now. No dates for me. Probably ever.” Another fan hilariously tweeted “I would let Machine Gun Kelly suck my toes maybe,” which MGK flavorfully declined with “Like I said, I’m only sucking one pair of toes.”

September 10, 2020: MGK Reportedly Meets Fox’s Sons

Fox shares three sons — Noah Shannon, Bodhi Ransom, and Journey River — with her ex, Green. On September 10, 2020, Us Weekly reported that MGK, who has a daughter of his own named Casie Colson, had met the boys.

Although this was a major step in Fox and MGK’s relationship, a source shared, “MGK and Megan aren’t seriously talking about getting engaged, married, or having kids right now.” Slow and steady wins the race in this twin flame entanglement.

September 23, 2020: MGK Opens Up About Falling in Love With Fox

In a September 23, 2020 interview with radio host, Howard Stern, MGK shared a bit about his experience with love and how falling for Fox was different than anything he’d experienced before. The musician admitted that he “didn’t know what [love] was until [he] and [Fox] made eye contact.”

He continued, sharing that he and Fox fell for one another while he was in the process of creating his album, Tickets to My Downfall. “That was my first experience with being open to love and stuff like that. I definitely wasn’t set up to believe that that’s something that could ever exist.”

While Fox realized the power of their connection sooner and with more intuition, it’s clear that MGK also felt how much stronger their relationship seemed than any other romance he’d experienced before.

September 30, 2020: MGK & Fox Continue Their PDA

MGK released a documentary-style music video for ‘drunk face,‘ another song on his album, on September 30, 2020. Scenes from the couple’s outing on September 25 appear in the video, along with a variety of candid clips of the two kissing, boarding an airplane, navigating through a crowd of fans, and Fox painting MGK’s nails.

The following day, Fox shared a sultry video on Instagram promoting the release of the deluxe version of Tickets to My Downfall. She’s seen lip-synching ‘body bag,’ which she says is one of her favorite tracks on the deluxe album.

November 17, 2020: Fox Describes Their Relationship as a ‘Once in a Lifetime Thing’

Nylon published an in-depth interview with MGK on November 17, 2020, when he made an appearance as the publication’s cover star. While the article primarily focused on him, Fox was mentioned several times and also gave a few quotes about their relationship.

A “once in a lifetime thing” and a connection of “mythic proportions” are phrases she used to describe their romance. She went on to share, “Loving him is like being in love with a tsunami or a forest fire. The intensity of merging with him is just overwhelming, and the threat it poses is so powerful but so beautiful that you have no choice to surrender with reverence and with gratitude.”

Fox also spoke about her ability to see through MGK’s bad-boy persona, recognizing its roots in childhood trauma he experienced and thus a need to protect himself. While his act is convincing to most, Fox felt that she saw the real Colson Baker on the set of Midnight in the Switchyard, sharing, “I looked into his eyes [and] I felt the most pristine, most gentle, most pure spirit. My heart shattered immediately and I just knew that I was fucked.”

November 22, 2020: Fox & MGK Make Their Red Carpet Debut

Walking side by side at the American Music Awards, the couple made their red carpet debut on November 22, 2020. The duo looked elegantly edgy in contrasting formalwear, setting the tone for a slew of iconic event outfits to come.

To make the evening even more perfect for the pair, Fox introduced MGK’s performance of ‘bloody valentine’ and ‘my ex’s best friend.’

November 27, 2020: MGK Talks About Fox’s Positive Influence on Him

In an interview with Dave Franco for Interview Magazine, MGK opened up about how Fox has helped him prioritize and work on his mental health. He shared, “When you have a partner, mine being Megan, sitting there with you on those dark nights when you’re sweating and not being able to figure out why you’re so in your head, to help you get out of your head and put it in perspective, that really, really helps.”

MGK also spoke about going to therapy for the first time to help him separate his two identities, Machine Gun Kelly and Colson Baker. He shared, “The commitment to change is inspiring, and I think will reverberate through the universe and definitely through my family. I can see it already with the people around me. The willingness to finally be happy with my own self has invited a much more vibrant energy around us than before.”

Although they seem to be into knives and blood and dark romance on the surface, there’s clearly no denying that Fox and MGK bringing out the best in one another as well.

February 14, 2021: The Couple Celebrates Their First Valentine’s Day Together

Both MGK and Fox shared sweet photos on Instagram for Valentine’s Day 2021. Kelly’s post featured a few unseen photos and videos of the couple together, as well as a photo of one of their now more infamous moments: a necklace housing a drop of Fox’s blood, which according to his caption, he “wears around his neck.”

Fox’s post featured more BTS photos and videos, along with a heartfelt poem that described the passionate and all-consuming nature of their relationship:

May 1, 2021: Fox Is Seen With MGK’s Daughter

On May 1, 2021, MGK performed on the final day of the NFL Draft in Cleveland, Ohio, where he grew up. Fox was in attendance, along with MGK’s daughter, Casie. The musician approached the pair near the end of his set and greeted them both with a kiss, Baker on the head and Fox on the lips.

It’s unclear when Fox met MGK’s daughter, but this seems to be the first time the trio was seen in public together.

May 23, 2021: The Couple Attends the Billboard Music Awards

The couple turned the intimacy up at the 2021 Billboard Music Awards, attending together in complementary, mostly black attire. Fox wore a super sexy dress with several cutouts and a sheer skirt, while MGK donned an open black suit to show off his heavily-tattooed torso. His accessory of the evening? A black-dyed tongue, which he showed off by touching it to Fox’s.

Fox shared an Instagram post of their ensemble before the show, showing off their good looks and her humor with the caption, “it’s the broom for me,” making a joke out of a rogue broom leaning against a wall in the background.

May 25, 2021: MGK Reveals the Date Fox First Said ‘I Love You’

MGK shared a tweet on May 25, 2021 that said “she said ‘i love you’ one year ago today.” Aside from being totally adorable, the tweet revealed how quickly the couple became serious after meeting one another in March 2020.

May 27, 2021: Fox & MGK Attend the iHeartRadio Music Awards

The last week of May 2021 proved to be a busy one for the couple. Just days after making an appearance at the Billboard Music Awards, they also stepped on the red carpet at the iHeartRadio Music Awards.

Serving yet another amazing complementary look, MGK went on to receive an award for Best Alternative Rock Album, which he celebrated with a post on Instagram. Fox shared her own post on IG, not of the duo, but of her glamorous, Barbie pink look. Her caption reads “Daddy Issues Barbie” with a sparkly pink heart emoji — MGK added “daddy loves you” in the comments.

June 19, 2021: Fox & MGK Get Dinner with Casie Baker

After a surprise rooftop performance in Venice Beach on June 19, 2021, MGK took Fox and his daughter Casie out for dinner in Santa Monica.

A source gave insight on Fox’s relationship with Casie and the progress of the couple’s romance, sharing with Hollywood Life, “[MGK] wants [Fox] with him all the time. He’s so much more balanced and so much happier when she’s around… She has blended so well into his life. His friends love her. She gets along great with his daughter. Even though things between them moved really fast, this isn’t a case of something that is just lust. They have a deep emotional connection. It’s real love.”

September 12, 2021: The Couple Attend the VMAs

With MGK and Travis Barker performing ‘paper cuts’ at the 2021 VMAs, Fox and Kourtney Kardashian joined their beaus in jaw-dropping fashion ensembles. Fox glittered alongside MGK, wearing a completely sheer gown with a shimmery thong underneath.

The women introduced their partners’ performance, with Fox saying, “I am a huge fan of this next performer. I’ve watched him grow, and not just as an artist, but as a person.” And then, in their signature saucy fashion, she said, “New York, I need you to get extra loud for our future baby daddies.”

Earlier in the evening, Fox posted a photo of herself and Kelly in a classy-looking public restroom with the caption “Daddy’s gonna win a VMA.” And, to add to the growing stack of tongue-touching photos, Fox, MGK, Kardashian, and Barker posed side by side, both couples locking lickers in the very same restroom.

October 11, 2021: Fox & MGK Appear on the Cover of GQ

Fox and Kelly’s first joint magazine cover hit the pages of GQ on October 11, 2021. Channeling gangster-vampire Bonnie & Clyde vibes for the cover’s photoshoot, their cosmic chemistry is palpable with a single glance at any one of the photos.

The couple discussed their relationship and its intensity at length, with Fox revealing they had technically met once before they more officially met on the set of Midnight in the Switchgrass. A few years prior, the two were introduced at a party in LA. Both swear they didn’t actually see one another, with Fox musing, “I don’t remember your face… And I definitely would have remembered his face. I just remember this tall, blond, ghostly creature and I looked up and I was like, ‘You smell like weed.’ He looked down at me and he was like, ‘I am weed.’ Then, I swear to God, he disappeared like a ninja in a smoke bomb.”

When they more formally met in 2020, Fox recalled, “It was obvious from second one what it was going to be.” She continued, sharing, “[I was] definitely open [to] love, but I did not anticipate walking right into my soulmate like that. I was obviously over the way I had been living, and those paths lined up, those doors opened. It was [as if] all the obstacles that had kept us apart all those years [had been removed] and we were able to finally intersect.”

She went on to explain what makes their connection as strong as it is: “I’m an unusual person. And I had buried a lot of that because it didn’t have a place to live. That’s something that, meeting him, it’s like meeting your own soul’s reflection. I recognize so much of myself in him, and vice versa, and that locked-up part of me that I had put away. After musing about how much Fox has positively influenced him, MGK also adds, “It should be light, but also we go to hell with each other. January 11, 2022: MGK Proposes to Fox

The twin flames laid low for the rest of 2021, but they entered 2022 with a bang. Just 11 days into the new year, MGK dropped to one knee under a banyan tree the couple visited the year before, and he asked Fox to marry him. Looking delighted, Fox joined MGK on her knees, said yes, and the two gently embraced — a scene she shared in full on her Instagram a day later with the infamous caption about drinking each other’s blood.

MGK announced their engagement on his Instagram as well, sharing a video of the engagement ring he had custom created for his bride. He explained the meaning behind the design, sharing, “beneath the same branches we fell in love under, i brought her back to ask her to marry me. i know tradition is one ring, but i designed it with Stephen Webster to be two: the emerald (her birth stone) and the diamond (my birth stone) set on two magnetic bands of thorns that draw together as two halves of the same soul forming the obscure heart that is our love.”

January 2022: Fox & MGK Attend Milan Fashion Week

During the 2022 Milan Men’s Fashion Week, the newly engaged couple traveled to Italy together, and went to many fashion events throughout the year.

MGK walked the runway for Dolce & Gabbana, and both he and Fox shared behind-the-scenes moments on their respective Instagrams.

The twin flames extended their time in Italy with a trip to Lake Como after their jaunt in Milan, with Fox sharing this cute photo dump on Instagram of herself and her fiancé looking content and cozy.

February 28, 2022: MGK Shares They’ve Adopted a Kitten

Fittingly naming him “Whiskey,” MGK shared on Instagram that the couple had added a kitten to their growing family. He introduced the adorable kitten through several photos and videos with the caption reading, “welcome Whiskey to the gang XX,” with, of course, a knife and heart emoji.

April 26, 2022: Fox Opens Up About MGK

In her first interview since accepting MGK’s proposal, Fox told Glamour UK that she believes she’s been manifesting her fiancé since she was a small child: “He’s literally my exact physical type that I’ve been manifesting since I was four. I’m also four years older than him. So, I think I made him. My thoughts and intentions grew him into the person that he is, who knows what he would’ve looked like or been like if it wasn’t for me.”

She also clarifies the infamous comment about the couple drinking one another’s blood post-proposal, explaining, “So, I guess to drink each other’s blood might mislead people or people are imagining us with goblets and we’re like Game of Thrones, drinking each other’s blood. It’s just a few drops, but yes, we do consume each other’s blood on occasion for ritual purposes only.”

May 12, 2022: MGK and Fox Attend the Premiere of ‘Good Mourning’

Speaking with People at the event, Kelly explained the collaborative nature of his relationship on set with Fox, saying, “She didn’t let me lead her character too much in any direction. She was like ‘I got this. I understand what this character is.’ She improvised and brought [her character] Kennedy to life, and I’ve heard a lot of people say that that’s their favorite character in the movie. I’ll always collaborate with Megan. I’m madly in love with her — and I’m also a fan.”

May 15, 2022: MGK Calls Fox His ‘Wife’ at the Billboard Music Awards

On stage at the 2022 Billboard Music Awards, MGK dedicated his performance to Fox, who was in the audience, saying “I wrote this song for my wife.”

He paused near the end of the song to say “And this is for our unborn child,” followed by the lyrics “Go to sleep / I’ll see you in my dreams / This changes everything / Now I have to set you free.” 

Fox later shared an Instagram post with part of the caption reading, “Baby- so proud of you for giving such a vulnerable and emotional performance. You are magic.”

June 22, 2022: Fox & MGK Attend the ‘Life in Pink’ Premiere

June was a month of movie premieres for the twin flames, this time for Kelly’s Hulu documentary, Life in Pink. The film follows MGK in real life, documenting the struggles he’s faced with mental health and drug abuse, as well as the happiness he’s found in building a relationship with Fox and strengthening his bond with his daughter.

The pair shared Instagram posts celebrating the documentary’s release, MGK sharing more behind the scenes and Fox sharing moments from an after-party performance two days later in which MGK smashed a champagne flute against his face, in true punk-rock fashion.

Megan Fox’s relationship with Machine Gun Kelly may be over after they were reportedly feuding over Super Bowl weekend. It all started when the Jennifer’s Body star wrote a cryptic caption for her red-carpet look at Drake’s Super Bowl event, alongside a video of her burning what appeared to be letters and clothing. 

“You can taste the dishonesty/ it’s all over your breath,” she wrote, which is a lyric from Beyoncé’s “Pray You Catch Me” single from her Lemonade album. She also scrubbed her Instagram of photos of him and then deleted her account altogether.

Just a couple months after the two looked like they went through a rough breakup, the two started sparking reconciliation rumors. Back in April, the two were spotted in Hawaii having dinner at the Four Seasons with the rapper’s daughter, Casie, per People.

A little over a month later, MGK was right by Fox’s side at the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue launch party. 

“They’re officially back on after going through a rocky patch in their relationship,” a source told Daily Mail back in April. “The last few months has been tough for them both but they went away together to do some healing and it’s been working. They feel more connected than ever.”

May 30, 2023: Fox & MGK Put On A United Front Amid Allegations

Fox and Kelly were seen out on a very low-key date night in London, holding hands. This may have confirmed that they are officially back on, but a day after, Fox’s Johnny & Clyde costar Tyson Ritter claimed on a podcast MGK went into “maniac mode” while visiting Fox on set.

“Colson, like, just goes from zero to, like, rage and [was] super angry,” he said, claiming the singer was enraged after he discussed putting his fingers in Fox’s mouth during a scene.

She said in an interview with Good Morning America, “I’ve never been through anything like that in my life. March 20, 2024: Fox Confirms She & MGK Ended Their Engagement

Fox confirmed her engagement ended on an episode of Alex Cooper’s Call Her Daddy podcast.

When asked if the couple had called off their engagement and if they were on and off Fox confirmed “all those things” were “accurate things that have occurred.”

“I could see them being confusing or interesting to people, and them being like, ‘What’s up?’” she said, adding, “What I’ve learned from being in this relationship is that it’s not for public consumption. So I think as of now, I don’t have a comment on the status of the relationship per se.”

Fox was seen attending MGK’s birthday party on April 22 and days later MGK shared a pic of them together at the celebration on his Instagram on April 26. 

October 31, 2024: Fox & MGK Attend a Halloween Party

The couple attended Kendall Jenner’s annual Halloween party in a couple’s costume. Fox was dressed as Queen Padmé Amidala from Star Wars, while MGK dressed up as Padmé Amidala’s husband, Anakin Skywalker. 

November 11, 2024: Fox Reveals She’s Pregnant

Fox revealed she was pregnant in a horror-inspired Instagram post. One photo shows her cradling her baby bump while covered in black liquid. A second photo shows a positive pregnancy test.

“Nothing is ever really lost. welcome back 👼🏼❤️,” she captioned the post, using song lyrics from MGK’s track “last november,” a song about his and Fox’s past pregnancy loss.

MGK was also tagged in the photo. This is Fox’s fourth baby and MGK’s second and the couple’s first together.
