There’s a new app called “People” coming soon to the iPhone that looks promising. Like Cardhop and other Contacts app alternatives, People wants to modernize your address book with important context.

This is the pitch from indie developer Andrew Theis:

I’ve been working on a product geared towards those who meet a ton of people professionally or otherwise, but have a hard time remembering everyone. If you’re like me, maybe you have resorted to jotting names down in Notes—not exactly the best solution.

So I created something to help with that, fused with a way to better organize your contacts & everyone in your life.

The app has a nice product page that tells you more about it here. You can register for the public beta before it lands next week.
