Josh Allen of the Buffalo Bills and Hailee Steinfeld of Hawkeye have both reached superstar heights before the age of 30.
The two celebs seem to have plenty in common as Allen, 28, has been dating Steinfeld, 27, since at least May of 2023.
Past relationships
Both Steinfeld and Allen had relatively drama-free love lives before they began dating. The True Grit breakout star was romantically linked to One Direction's Niall Horan in 2018, but the relationship didn't last.
Meanwhile, Allen dated a childhood friend, pilates instructor and influencer Brittany Williams, from 2017 to 2023.
A sushi date started it all
The Spiderverse actress was seen with the football player in photos from an NYC restaurant on May 31, 2023, after chef Michael Sinensky shared them on Facebook. Allen had his arm around the actress, who gave an excited thumbs up to the camera.
They are shy when talking about their relationship
Allen mentioned that paparazzi's attempts to photograph him and Steinfeld gave him a "gross feeling" during a podcast interview in 2023. He didn't confirm their relationship at the time, but he didn't deny it either.
The "Love Myself" singer, for her part, didn't take the bait when asked about dating athletes at the 2023 Golden Globes. "What is it about an athletic man?" asked the interviewer. Steinfeld kept her response enthusiastic but vague. "Listen, what isn't it about?" she replied. "Come on now."
They went public in Paris despite a pants problem
The couple attended several events together during Paris Fashion Week in March of 2024, officially launching as a couple. As they returned to their hotel, Steinfeld even stopped to take a photo with some fans, but Allen rushed on ahead. But it wasn't that Allen didn't want to take pictures alongside his girlfriend. He revealed on X (formerly known as Twitter) that he experienced an embarrassing wardrobe malfunction that night.
They enjoy cooking and spending family time together
In Steinfeld's Beau Society lifestyle newsletter, she revealed that she and Allen each bought the other the same chef's knife for Christmas. "After we exchanged our knives lol, he told me there's an old wive's tale that if you gift your significant other a knife you have to pay for it, otherwise it signifies the severing of a relationship," the actress wrote, per Sports Illustrated. "So we exchanged quarters so we didn't have that bad omen."
Cooking isn't the only domestic pastime they enjoy together. Steinfeld has been invited to some Allen family events, including his sister's gender reveal party. In a TikTok recorded at Nicala Madden's party, Allen and Steinfeld both agreed that they thought her second baby would be a boy.
All in all, the couple seem to share in a love of fashion, football, and family.
