Amanda Bynes made a rare public appearance over the weekend (Dec. 21, 2024), debuting a new hairdo while looking healthy and happy as she co-hosted an event.
The former child actress curated an art exhibition in Los Angeles, California, drawing celebrity attendees, including Noah Cyrus. The event represented a collaborative effort between Bynes and fashion designer Austin Babbitt, professionally known as A–pizza.
According to the former actress's Instagram page, the pop-up exhibition achieved a complete sellout. The venue was PLANTS N+ SPACES store in Los Angeles.
During the exhibition, Amanda sported a daring black long-sleeve top featuring a center cutout. The garment, secured by silver chains and butterfly embellishments, presented a potential wardrobe risk with its middle split design.
Her ensemble included form-fitting black pants paired with black Doc Marten boots. She styled her platinum blonde hair in a sleek, wet-look arrangement.
This venture isn't Bynes's initial foray into fashion, having earned her degree from the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising (FIDM). When announcing this collaboration with A–pizza in October, Amanda wrote on her Instagram Story: “My associate's of art degree majoring in product development at FIDM paid off.”
Their collaborative collection features a t-shirt adorned with a female figure illustration on the back, accompanied by shorts available in three colorways: black, white, and grey. She shared her excitement through a social media video showcasing the shirt printing process.
Recently, Amanda informed her followers about shedding six pounds during her wellness journey. She attributed this success to increased walking and dietary improvements.
Previously, Amanda disclosed gaining 20 pounds while battling depression. “I'm doing a lot better now and have learned to do opposite action when I don't feel like working out or eating clean,” she revealed in November.
“I weigh 162 lbs. right now and want to get back to 110 lbs,” she stated. The Amanda Show star previously acknowledged using Adderall inappropriately for weight management.
Following various mental health challenges, Bynes retired from acting in 2010 and spent nine years under legal conservatorship. Since her release from conservatorship in 2022, reports indicate she's maintained sobriety while pursuing her fashion aspirations.
