Amanda Holden told 'no' after making same request on every Ryanair flight

3 weeks ago 2

Amanda Holden was reportedly told “no” after making the same request on every Ryanair flight she took.

The 53-year-old travelled between the UK and Italy with comedian Alan Carr when they filmed their Italian Job TV show. And while travelling to the European nation, Alan revealed Amanda would enjoy a glass of rose on the plane.

However, he revealed her requests for ice in her drink would be repeatedly rejected by the cabin crew. Speaking on the Saving Grace podcast with GK Barry, he said: “When we did the first series we flew with Ryanair and Amanda every time asking ‘can I have ice with my rose' and they were like ‘no’.

“Every time was no, unless they go and scrape it off the wings love, there’s going to be no ice on this flight. She thinks it’s the Ivy with wings. I’m like ‘love, you’re lucky’.”

Alan Carr and Amanda Holden jetted off around Europe

While Amanda finds herself ordering a rose on the flights, Alan says he is partial to an Aperol spritz. The popular cocktail involves mixing prosecco, Aperol, and soda water.

Alan and Amanda recently jetted off to Spain for their latest travel show, Spanish Job. The comic says the country is one of his favourites, confessing he “loves Spain”.

The pair say they will be exploiting the “unloved and forgotten” parts of the Costa Del Sol. The series will see them showing off their DIY skills to renovate a rundown property and exploring the province of Andalusia.

Speaking to the BBC, Alan said: “It’s always exciting when a show you love gets recommissioned but the fact that we will be bringing our unique DIY expertise to a whole different country makes it even more special. We are saying ciao for now and Hola España!

“Can’t wait to grab our power tools and get our hard hats on and bring some much needed TLC to a casa in Spain!”
