Following Thursday’s launch, Android 15 QPR1 with the December 2024 Feature Drop is rolling out to Pixel 8-9 devices on T-Mobile.

Last week, Google rolled out Global, Telstra (Australia), and EMEA builds. On Tuesday morning, it released a new Android 15 QPR1 build for T-Mobile customers: AP4A.241205.013.C1. This includes those on MVNOs, like Google Fi.

In addition to being available on the factory and OTA images site for manual install/sideloading, we’re seeing the on-device OTA (758MB update on Pixel 9 Pro) immediately.

Android 15 QPR1 has a number of user-facing facing changes like the redesigned Settings app with the “Limit to 80%” battery charging option.

There are new chips for Casting, screen recording, and sharing, while the status bar on the Pixel 9 series is now thicker to account for the front-facing camera. Other changes include a globe icon when a keyboard is open and a new animation/vibration when long-pressing on Quick Settings.

In terms of the December 2024 Pixel (Feature) Drop, the required app updates are now rolling out:

  • Pixel Screenshots update tweaks UI, adds filters & Circle to Search ‘Save’
  • Pixel Studio 1.4 rolling out with gen AI sticker creator, Gboard integration, more
    • Gboard Emoji Kitchen redesign lets you ‘Browse’ combos, rolling out‘
  • Pixel Camera 9.7 rolling out: Brings back ‘Quick access controls’ for brightness, WB
